Is the fog grill part of the bumper or can it be taken of or swapped separately? I can't find anything about it just being able to pull off. TIA. 2016 golf gtd

2023.06.07 00:51 Sprunk_Addict_72 Ai needs an update in ATS
Ok, so I've been playing this game for 2 years and when driving on the highway something always feels unrealistic, but now I know what it is. It's the Ai semi trucks. Normally when you drive in the United States you see Volvo's VNL's, Freightliner Cascadia's, Kenworth T680's, and Perterbilt 579's. This game just has too many W900s and 379s. There's also way too many day cabs. Like the title says, the Ai needs an update.

2023.06.06 17:41 crazydawg23 Rear bumper replacement
I’ve been talking to a private seller about the history of his used car (2016 Honda Civic EX) to get a better understanding about the condition.
While chatting he tells me that the car was in a minor no fault accident and the rear bumper had to be replaced. He told me that it was a 5k claim. The Carfax tells me there’s a repair but doesn’t give any information of the severity or the area that was repaired.
I don’t have a good idea about car repair cost, so I’m not sure if this is in the ball park of a rear bumper repair. Would this be a reasonable price for the repair or is the owner lying?

I have a 2016 EB premium but it’s completley stock, I haven’t touched anything since I got it. I got in an accident and i need to replace the bumper and the top grille. I’m thinking since I’m already replacing it I might as well upgrade to something cooler. Any suggestions?

2023.06.05 18:41 crypticsage 2002 Trans Am. Decision to make. I need some input.
Total mileage is 180,000. The engine has 60,000 miles. It was replaced with a brand new engine when it broke a rod.
The dash is trashed, center console broken. Sun visors fell apart.
The drivers side lower trim falling off. I was in an accident a few years ago that requires a replacement bumper, the guy installed the wrong bumper and did a terrible job. The paint is peeling off. The passenger taillight cracked and let’s water in.
The hood and trunk struts can’t hold them up anymore.
The transmission failed the first time in 2016. I didn’t drive it much after that. It failed again before a year was up but the shop went out of business and I lost my warranty.
The second shop rebuilt it 7 or 8 times in the span of weeks. I would pick it up and come back with the failures. I told the mechanic he needs to test drive this before he calls me and he couldn’t get it going. Claimed everything was new inside it by the time it got working. It failed again a year later but out of the warranty.
Took it to a third shop, lasted three years.
All above failures were only the 3/4 gears.
The latest failure was total loss of the transmission. I can’t put it in any gear.
The mechanic quoted me $6000 to fix with 3 years 36 months warranty.
I have another vehicle that needs the AC repaired.
Truthfully I can’t afford $6K. My choices at this moment are to have it sitting until I can afford it or sell it. Plus I’ve wanted to get the body restored at some point. But things keep happening that I haven’t been able to get the money to do this. Don’t even know how much money I would need.
I’ve had the car since 2006. It was the first vehicle I was able to purchase on my own. Everything on it is still stock. Never had any modifications done.
What should would you do in my situation?

2023.06.04 23:49 jmejia94 Anybody running extended warranty?
Anyone running carshield or any other warranty on their subie?
Got my first WRX through Carvana about two months ago. 2016 WRX 64k miles $21k Under their warranty I've had my front bumper repaired, driver side window regulator and trimming replaced. In the shop now for an ac compressor, clutch replacement and alignment.
However, only got about 200 miles left of their warranty. Considering carshield warranty now.
Would it be worth it? Any experiences with it?
Appreciate y'all! 🙏🏻🤝🏻

2023.06.02 23:53 NoahBishop1979 I really didn’t want to do this
Alright, so since he continues to lie about anything and everything, and I’m now in a position where I feel like me not responding is no longer tenable.
My name is Noah Bishop, and I married Wyatt’s mom Laura, on 6/30/2002 in Las Vegas, NV and we were separated in May of 2011 and our divorce was finalized in May of 2016 in Chatsworth, Ca. Wyatt was 3 when I met and married Laura. All of that is public record, and you can confirm it if you would like.
During the marriage Laura and I had two sons together named Malcolm, now 16 and Gavin, now 20.
First off, I want to address the statement Wyatt made about Laura and I hanging out. For Mother’s Day Laura asked to have her disassembled pool table assembled with new bumpers and felt. I played a lot of pool in my younger years and was happy to help the boys do this for their mom. The assertion that I was there for two weeks is absolute bullshit. Wyatt flew in on a Friday night, and the next day(the day before Mother’s Day) I went over and with Malcolm and Gavin completed the pool table. Laura is my EX-wife, and since our divorce we have both remarried, and I am extremely grateful that since our divorce we have found the ability to co-parent successfully. But that’s all it is. Derrick(Laura’s new husband) is a great, hard working guy, and I am genuinely happy for them
Regarding my drug use, I am a recovering addict, but the nature of my addiction has been grossly overstated. I have never even seen heroin in real life. My DOC was opiate pain pills that I got from Doctor’s. Shady doctors who overprescribed, but still I took prescribed pain pills. This began because I had bilateral knee injuries, and my job requires me to stand for 14-18 hours a day. To be clear I was still an addict, but I wasn’t shooting heroin as Wyatt would like you to believe. Also, I have been clean for 12 years, since around the time Wyatt was 13.
Regarding Wyatt being abused, as all of you can see Wyatt actively avoids taking responsibility for his choices as well as their ensuing consequences. I have always believed in natural consequences. Like as a small child Wyatt once repeatedly said that he “hated black people”. The natural consequence to me was to show him what it was like to be judged based on the way he looks, so I dressed him up in the most ridiculous looking outfit I could muster and made him go out in public. But as Wyatt got older he resisted consequences more and more, avoiding responsibility for the choices he made. So yes, over time a separation between he and I developed as I focused on my two sons who would listen to me, and who would be accountable for their choices and actions. I made it clear that every relationship has good and bad, or with a parent consequences and rewards. Wyatt made it clear that he felt he was entitled to the rewards and exempt from the consequences, so I recused myself from the situation. This could be viewed as a form of abuse, but I genuinely tried to get Wyatt to meet me in the middle as a child and he steadfastly refused. Did I make him do yard work? Yes. Did he get grounded? Yes. Did he deserve it? Fuck Yes. Last, it’s funny he says I abused him for 12 years because I lived with him for less than 9, and the final straw was when he got caught ditching school one day he did his best to beat the shit out of his mom.
Regarding Wyatt’s biological father Billy. Wyatt is NOT Jamaican, and has NEVER been to Jamaica. Wyatt is 100% white. When Laura left Billy he still had a truck AND all of his tools. I know this because he helped me with some electrical work in the summer of 2003. Shortly after that Billy was drawn into his families cycle of addiction with Meth and became homeless. Wyatt used his fathers homelessness and addiction as a way to generate sympathy, pity, and avoid consequences. He would play the “well if I had a dad that loved me, I wouldn’t have done it” card. He milked his dads situation for every possible benefit he could. That’s not to say it wasn’t traumatic for him, just that he was VERY capable at turning lemons into lemonade. You can draw your own conclusions.
In ending, if you have questions about ME, who I am, or my past I am happy to answer them. I will NOT answer a single question about Wyatt because he doesn’t deserve the attention he gets, and I will NOT be a part of it.

2023.06.02 20:34 axioche Would like some advice about ordering a Sport '24 (Bay Area CA)
Hey- I've been a long time lurker here and admirer of this car since a rental I once got in 2016 :) sorry about the long post!
(as many others here) after realizing the 2023 is not in my future, I think I'm going to go for the 24 sport. I'm anticipating some light off-roading to get to trails and campsites, skiing in the winter, and a small amount of driving to field sites (i study trees). Hopefully the sport is a good choice! I would grumble about the massive tablet but that ship has sailed lol.
I'm keeping my options open in terms of dealerships, mostly looking at north bay and east bay CA. I have a personal connection to one of the north bay dealerships but was wondering if anyone here had gotten a crosstrek recently in the area- would love to hear your experience and where you went.
I called the one I had a connection to yesterday to ask about VIP pricing. They said that "as long as the crosstrek isn't excluded from your vip program we will honor it for you" and asked for me to "submit it to the store via my work" or to email it to them. I'm a little confused about this because I was just going to take you guys' advice and go for aspca, and I haven't ever read anything about exclusions. Should I be worried about their response?
I said that I would like to come in to make the order and they said that they could do it over the phone because it's all on their computer system. I didn't feel too good about that.. in case they add anything weird to the invoice (this is a legit Subaru dealership btw). I'm a bit of a minimalist and don't really need anything fancy, so was just going to do the all-weather mats and rear bumper cover; will get the rear seat covers once they're out. They only mentioned the $500 refundable deposit upon making the order, which from combing posts here seems like the normal procedure to hold a spot in the assembly line. I was also talking to a salesperson and not the person I actually had a connection with because I couldn't initially reach them, so I'm wondering if I should talk to that specific person instead. I feel a little bad about the commission for this first person, though.
Last thing, is that I'm wondering about insurance and warranty. I know a billion factors go into the ballpark pricing, but honestly was wondering about both avg premium prices for the bay and what folks here usually do in terms of plan coverage. Should I just go with a comprehensive with emergency roadside? Is roadside usually covered in comprehensive plans? This is going to be my first car and I moved from a different state so I just wanted to cover all my bases.
Thank you all :)

2023.06.02 16:32 MidnightSpeeder 40 for Jelle’s 40
40 moments for Jelle’s 40th - The MVP (500m race): Comet’s original race in the 500m that put JMR on the map
- Dawn of a new era (ML16 Balancing): The one that started it all, Marble League 2016 kicks off with 16 teams making their debut in the very first event, Balancing. The Rojo Rollers would claim the first gold.
- The Final Four (ML16 Hurdles): In an unbelievable twist of fate, the top 4 teams were the final four teams in Hurdles to decide the title. In perhaps the greatest finish in Marble history, Speedy from the Savage Speeders defeated Yellup from Mellow Yellow to win the inaugural Marble League
- Momo Oh no (ML17 Collision): Perhaps one of the best known moments, Momomomo collides with a spinner and get sent straight to Wispy losing a chip in the process. Momomomo would sit out the remainder of the ML while Mimo would sub in getting a bronze at High Jump.
- Foreshadowing? (ML17 Underwater Race): Wospy & Kinnowin having back to back battles in the underwater race, the first having Kinnowin setting a record, the second having Wospy steal the gold for the Midnight Wisps.
- OOOOOO (ML17 Sand Rally): A two team battle between the fan favorite O’rangers and the defending champs Savage Speeders. With the Speeders knocked out in their heat, the O’rangers needed a podium finish in the final to win the title. They would get it with a silver after a late charge from Starry clinched their second gold.
- As close as possible (SMR17 R5): The closest finish in a sand race saw Quicksilver defeat Nemo by 0.01 second in a photo for the ages.
- A controversial finale (SMR17 Final): The last race saw double points amongst a longer track. Season leader Quicksilver DNF’d and Dragon’s Egg runner up finish to H2 Blue with the double points gives them the title.
- Ice Cold (ML18 E1 Ice Dash): The 2018 ML was a winter edition and the ice Dash kicked it off. Sea from the Oceanics secured the gold in a tight final.
- For Momomo & Momomomo (ML18 E7 Snow Rally): A late push from Momo in the Snow Rally gives them one of the most memorable golds in Marble history after injuries to two members resulted in Team Momo merging with Team Primary, this medal was the first following the merger.
- How? (ML18 E8 Snowboard Cross): Sublime from the Limers of all teams makes a rally to secure gold. To date, it remains the Limers only gold medal, a team most commonly associated with trash.
- An event for the ages (ML18 Ice Hockey): A personal favorite, Ice Hockey was a bloodbath that saw all marbles in action with all the atmosphere of real hockey. Midnight Wisps would defeat the Minty Maniacs in the final.
- The Midnight Miracle (ML18 Sand Mogul): Ten teams had a chance to win the title coming in. Wispy from the Midnight Wisps would prove to be the Killing Moon and complete the comeback started from the prior event to defeat Whizzy from the Savage Speeders in the final and win the title by one point, the smallest margin to win the title in Marble history.
- A Marble First (ML19 Funnels): The Speeders won the prior event in the Underwater Race, but combining that with Rapidly winning the funnels made the Savage Speeders the first team to win two golds to start a ML.
- Records Falling (ML19 Balancing): A Marble League record was broken three different time in this event, first by the Crazy Cat’s Eyes, then the Thunderbolts, and then once again by the Hazers. These three would be the podium.
- Summer Showdown (ML19 Biathlon): Hop defeats Bonbon in one of the closest finishes in Marble League history.
- A Dirty Comeback (ML19 Dirt Race): Pinky Toe comes out of nowhere in the final race to win the Dirt Race for the Pinkies first ever gold, the event was also notable for the insane number of DNFs.
- A Robust Coronation (ML19 Sand Rally): Razzy from the Raspberry Racers did enough to secure the record breaking Marble League season with 216 points and 8 medals, both which stand to this day, by getting bronze to win ML19. The event also saw the Oceanics fans riot with signs saying Noceanics after their dreadful host campaign.
- A blowout to remember (SMR19 R5): Red Number 3 being the defending champion would take the lead and never look back, winning by a record 8.07 seconds for the sand rally.
- A New Direction (M1S1 Savage Speedway): Marbula One launches and begins with a photo finish between Starry from Team Galactic defeating Hazy from the Hazers.
- Rivalry Renewed (M1S1 Momotorway): Balls of Chaos and Team Primary rivalry hits a new high after Clutter holds off Prim at the very end to secure the first wire to wire win.
- Savage Star (M1S1 Midnight Bay): Needing a win, and some help, Speedy from the Savage Speeders would come back in the race to secure gold and with a poor showing from Hazy, made the Savage Speeders M1 Champions. Speedy would be named MVM.
- John Oliver sponsors ML20: During the Covid lockdown, sports all over the world shut down. John Oliver saw the opportunity to give fans something to watch and sponsors all of ML20 and donates winnings to food banks. The sponsorship saw an influx of fans.
- A Minty Comeback (ML20 Funnels): Minty Drizzel was the first marble to enter the final funnel, they would also be the last marble to leave it giving the Minty Maniacs a stunning victory and their second gold in three events.
- The Reserve (ML20 Hurdles): Razzy sets a record twice (which later got broken by Yellow Eye) but proceeds to get injured at the end of the semis. The Raspberry Racers sub in Ruzzy to go in the final and pulls a massive upset to get gold.
- Out of the Fog (ML20 Triathlon): The event was one of the best, starting with Momo rallying on Pulsar to advance to the final. That was topped by Foggy’s massive rally in the water for gold.
- Redemption (ML20 Sand Moguls): The Oceanics end a 27 event drought by getting gold in the Sand Moguls, winning every round.
- The Miracle in the Waves (ML20 Aquathlon): Although the Midnjght Wisps defeating the Savage Speeders in a photo final was fun, it was nothing compared to the Oceanics rallying on the O’rangers to stun them. It was the start of a massive downfall that saw the O’rangers blow a 35 point lead with three events to go and eventually leading to the Savage Speeders second Marble League title.
- Yellup is Gone (M1S2 Aquathlon): Yellup would fall off the track altogether, providing one of the best Greg Woods lines.
- Red Eye ascends (M1S2 Savage Speedway): Really, the entirety of CCE’s S2 could be an entry but it’s hard to ignore a marble making a historic effort to win the title with a gold by over eight seconds while also securing pole and FL points. It ended up being one of five golds for CCE that season en route to a historic title.
- Battle of Champions (SMR S5 R9): A short race featuring two former champions in Dragon’s Egg and Red Number 3 go head to head with Dragon’s Egg winning by 0.02 seconds.
- Four Felynia (ML21 Sprint): The record would fall a whopping four times, the last of them being by Green Eye winning gold for the hometown Crazy Cat’s Eyes
- Here Come the Speeders (ML21 Relay): The Speeders dominate relay, having won it five times. This one was perhaps their best, performing an incredible comeback in the final that saw Greg’s line come to life.
- A mob for the podium (ML21 Sand Rally): Blue Eye would hold off a large ground of marbles trying to get on the podium. Alpine and Shimmer would come out of that group with medals.
- A Race of All Time (ML21 Marblocross): ML21 was the best tournament, one that saw 11 teams having a chance to win the Marble League. Implications changed nearly every lap of the whole race and while Minty Fresh won the race, it was Yellup and Mellow Yellow who would come out victorious by getting bronze and securing the title.
- Solidifying a legacy (M1S3 Mellow Meadows): Red Eye would complete a comeback in the final lap by jumping the bumpers over Clutter marking the first successful last lap overtake to win a race.
- One Lap Away (M1S3 Mirage Meowtain): Easily the two best teams were the O’rangers & Crazy Cat’s Eyes in S3. The final lap saw Royal pass Red Eye at the start of the lap to steal the title from CCE and hand it to the O’rangers. Had the race been one lap shorter, CCE wins instead.
- Four in a row (ML22 Sand Rally): Before 2022 the Shining Swarm were known as the ? team being forgettable. This stretch changed that by winning four straight medals in a row, never done before in a single Marble League. The latter saw them hold off Aryp and Bonbon in the SAND. The Shining Swarm would climb from last at one point to 12th before the event stretch began all the way to 2nd at the end.
- Pinkies defy expectations (ML22 Elimination Race): 2022 cant be written without the surprising domination of the Pinkies. They would win seven medals and secure the title in this event once Galac5th happened. The 13 point margin is the largest in ML history and the unlikely story considering they were dead last in 18, 15th in 19, and failed to qualify in 20 & 21.
- Zapped (SMR S6 R2): Silver Bolt charges at the home stretch to rally on Slimer by 0.01 seconds. Slimer however would get the last laugh winning the season.
Happy 40th birthday Jelle!

2023.06.02 07:56 Fr0sty__01 Looking for help/tips
So to start off I am by no means a mechanic and seeking abit of diagnosis/incite via internet. (I know the internet isn't the best place but whatever.)
Context: So to give abit of back story on the images to get an idea of what you guys are looking at, At 3:00AM in the morning coming home from work, literally 5 mins after getting off work I ended up hitting 2 cats causing damage to the front bumper and taking out a light [As seen in pictures 1 and 2]. Not the biggest issue as it damaged the plastic and took out that light. For the 3rd picture you can see more damaged done to my car in the same exact spot breaking more plastic / the front bumper this was due to me a week later coming home on the same road I had the first incident on, I had my 2nd incident occur: hitting a raccoon at 2:40 AM in the morning coming home from work. Now with with abit of context of what has damaged the vehicle now onto what I'm primarily worried about.
In the videos you can clearly tell that there is possible undercarriage damage (again not a mechanic) both videos have what seem to be separate sounds I'd say when revving my engine while in park. These videos were taken in the afternoon when I was just getting ready to leave for work and the 2nd video me getting ready to leave work to come home. When the 2nd incident occurred every time I revved my engine up it sounded like a popping noise / like a gun going off however it didn't occur in any of the videos and would greatly appreciate some incite on what could be the issue. This is my first car ever (not daddy's or mommy's money) and I'd like to appreciate it and take care of it for as long as I can physically possibly can. I brought it to my body shop to have them take a look and they didn't say much other than a timing belt but again it wasn't doing the popping noise / gun shot noise and it wasn't making that weird sound you hear in the video(s).
info: 2016 bmw 328i xdrive sedan. [36k miles]
So any advice will be useful and would be greatly appreciated.

2023.06.02 00:23 DepecheMode92 Fair value for my 16 328i M Sport?
| Hey guys, you are the F30 experts so wanted your opinion. I’m debating on selling my 2016 328i Alpine White on Coral Red and moving into a G20 in a few months. I bought it at 15k miles and it’s at 84k miles now. I have all service records and it’s been a reliable car, CPO up in September. It has a few dings, curb rash, front bumper scrapes, but interior is immaculate and I’ve always garaged it. It has M-sport package, premium package, technology package, Harmon Kardon, and LED head lights. Every option pretty much except heated seats, and it’s a California N26 car. I’m seeing zero option cars with similar mileage list for around $18k, but I figured this must be worth more with the extensive options. Hi there! So I a while ago a driver pulled out in front of me and I swerved to miss the impact. My ankle was the only point of contact against the other driver's bumper. I tried to stabilize the bike but it went down and slid on the right handlebar end cap and the block cover of the transmission. No dents, no body damage of any kind apart from the two things I mentioned. With the handlebar end cap replaced, there is only one noticeable indicator that the bike was down and thats the scratch marks on the transmission block cover thing (sorry definitely not mechanically savvy) where the bike slid on the road. Other than that, the bike is in immaculate condition clocking in at 9.5k total miles. It's a blue 2016 FZ-09 and from my research the same model and year with similar mileage is currently going for about $7.5k (private sale), give or take a little depending on your area. I'm looking to sell the bike. My question is, how much should I knock off the asking price given that scratch on the transmission block? What can I expect from a reasonable offer and what would just be an outright low ball? Thanks in advance!

2023.06.01 16:45 cader954 T680 next gen vs Cascadia
My boss has 2 Kenworth T680 NextGen day cabs on order due to arrive in a couple months. I'm told I will most likely will be offered one. I'm currently driving a 2018 freightliner Cascadia day can. I'm 6'5 and curious about the leg room in the Kenworth. Ideally there would be a little more leg room or at least the same. I don't think I can deal with less. Any tall drivers out there that have driven both? I'd really like to give a Kenworth a try.

2023.06.01 16:20 BigHeadDjango Series 21 Week 2 - Autumn Seasonal Tunes! (Explore The Horizon) by BigHedDjango
Hello everyone!
BigHedDjango here, tunes for this week to help you out.
Weekly photo... challenge!
Spot the drivatar: https://i.imgur.com/54vL4Br.jpg Photo by
Optochip. Check out more of their photos in-game!
All feedback on tunes is appreciated - good or bad. Specially when tunes are bad. At the end of the day I am just the mechanic and you guys are the racers. Do not hesitate irrespective of your tuning knowledge or racing skills!
Tuning method: 1.
Stock look - stock wheel rims, default wheel rim sizes, no aero (unless absolutely necessary for handling and stability) 2. Max performance with max handling possible 3. All cars
tuned vs. Unbeatable AI on championship tracks in seasonal weather.
However! Unbeatable AI is broken and bugged. Not every car can win 7/10 random races vs Unbeatable AI without abusing rewind/restart. Very few cars can beat it consistently. Hope it gets fixed
soon one day... 4. Bodykit only used if it does not ruin performance

2023.06.01 12:13 WorldlinessUpbeat641 AITA for refusing to pay for car damages
On Monday I hit into a woman's car in a car park. There is no damage on the car I was driving however there is EXTREMELY minor damage on hers at the bottom of the rear bumper. The woman said she'd go privately (not through insurance) to 'help me out' and said that the repairs cost $1000. I agreed to pay for the damage on the car provided she gives me a quote. She however kept refusing to provide a quote saying it's not necessary and threatening to go through insurance instead and claiming that she's doing me a favour. She then told me that the panel beater (who happens to be her brother) has no told her $800. When I asked for a quote she got angry and said that the cost with the quote & the repairs will cost $1200.
What I didn't realise though was that the policy only covers people aged over 25 and since I am 21 it does not cover me. I told her that I am uninsured and she got angry and said that she doesn't have insurance either and to give her the insurance policy however I kept explaining that I am not covered and that we'd have to go privately. She said that she cannot afford to fix it since she doesn’t have insurance either. I told her since we can’t come to an agreement I am happy for her to take me to court.
I am a 21 year old girl who is currently studying. I cannot afford $800 either and my family refuse to help out unless the woman provides a quote. I told the woman if she wants the $800 she would have to wait a few weeks but she refused and once again threatened to go down the insurance route (despite neither of us being insured - she couldn’t wrap her head around the age restriction concept, accused me of lying & even asked me to say the owner of the car was driving!) I got a few quotes from panel beaters with costs ranging between $350-$500. My grandparents advised me that usually if neither party has insurance that both parties need to present quotes from various panel beaters. I was wondering if this is true.
I feel like she is scamming me and she will pocket the money which is why she refuses to send a quote. Like I said I am happy to pay if she gives me a proper quote from a reputable panel beater. I also think it’s weird how she immediately wanted to go privately and not through insurance.
Am I the asshole for refusing to pay until she provides a quote and for telling her I am happy for her to take me to court?
Edited note: People are writing that I am an asshole for not being insured - I was driving my grandparents car at the time and they didn’t realise that they only had drivers over the age of 25 on the policy.
Also - in NSW Australia it is LEGAL to drive without third party insurance. All you need is CTP insurance which covers someones injuries in an accident.
The car was also a 2005 Toyota Corolla which had many other damages while I was driving a 2016 Audi Q3. We believe that she’s so adamant on cash due to seeing the car I was driving.

Company Driver with a Kenworth T680. Can anyone tell me the best halogen low beam bulbs to get so I can get a little bit of an upgrade from the ones my company buys. Or if there are any LED ones that can plug right in to the existing housing.
