Studio Version SUGGESTED SCALE: 1-4: Not good. Regularly skip. 5: It’s okay, but I might have to be in the right mood to listen to it. 6: Slightly better than average. I rank them pretty high overall. 10: Masterpiece, magnum opus, or similar terminology.

2023.06.07 02:07 QuintusCinq Simcity Buildit Mayor's Pass Season 31 - Fabulous Florida (Florida Summer Vibes) - Tiers, rewards and points per tier / Additional info on War Vu-pass and the planning of future seasons and design events
Introduction The following list gives an overview for the 31st mayor's pass season Fabulous Florida - Florida Summer Vibes, of Simcity Buildit, which runs for 6 weeks, starting on Wednesday 7th of June 2023. The mayor's pass has 42 tiers for the free and premium passes. The premium-plus pass, which was introduced during season 21, has 52 tiers.
A premium pass or a premium-plus pass can be bought at any moment during the season. When the season ends, the option to buy is closed at the same moment.
When buying a premium pass, the player has to choose between the 'basic" premium pass and the premium-plus pass. It is not possible to "upgrade" from a premium pass to a premium-plus pass once the premium pass has been bought.
Buying a premium pass or a premium-plus pass will immediately unlock all premium/plus rewards of the tiers that already have been finished at the moment of buying. The premium plus pass will also unlock the next 5 tiers (for more specific info: read the premium plus section).
The first 16 seasons were officially numbered. Uptil season 16 the reward items in the mayor's pass specialisation section were numbered according to their original seasons. Since the 17th season these numbers have disappeared. In stead of the season number the name of the season is now shown in the building information.
Rewards The unique new reward buildings are indicated in bold in the rewards columns.
Most other rewards are the same as, or comparable to rewards from previous seasons. For a few seasons in a row now, the free pass rewards for tier 4 and tier 26 are swapped each new season, but this season it is the same as last season. This season the war cards rewards are the same as last season; usually the war cards change each season.
The number of unique new buildings from the free pass has steadily gone down since the mayor's passes were originally introduced.
The free pass gave 5 unique new buildings since season 3 (when the seasons were shortened from 12 to 6 weeks). But since season 7 the free pass only gave 4 unique new buildings. Since season 11, the number of unique new buildings for the free pass is further limited: now you only can get 3 unique new buildings. Tier points Starting in season 30 the points per tier were different from previous seasons. It is expected that this season the points per tier will be the same as in season 30.
The list contains the number of plumbob points that are needed for each tier and the rewards from the free pass, the premium pass and the premium-plus pass.
Double points week In the previous mayor's pass seasons there was a "double points week" in the last week (which only lasts 5 days because the season ends when the 6th Contest of Mayors (CoM) week ends). During this week, the regular assignments as well as the milestone tasks give double points. Lightning CoM week During season 25 there was a "Lightning CoM week" in week 5 for the first time: each CoM lasted 48 hours, and there were 3 CoM's during this week. Each CoM had 20 tasks less than the usual amount, and the targets for the milestones were lower (as well as the points for the milestones). But adding those 3 CoM's together, there were more tasks to complete and more points from milestones to gain, than during a regular week. The Lightning CoM week wasn't repeated during seasons 26, 28 and 30. Lightning CoM weeks did return in the 5th week during seasons 27 en 29, this time with 2 CoM's that each lasted 72 hours. In season 27 the second Lightning CoM had double points; probably due to a mistake by the developers. Based on this pattern it is considered likely that there will be a lightning CoM week again in the 5th week of this season. Free and premium pass In the table below, "tier points" indicate the number of plumbob points needed to get to the indicated tier from the previous tier. "Total points" gives the number of plumbob points from start upto the indicated tier.
Calculation for the weekly average points: Taking the double points week into account, the "weekly av." number indicates what your average weekly plumbob points score should be during the first 5 weeks and double that amount in the final week, if you want to reach that tier by the end of the season. To get to tier 42 you will need 87k during the first 5 weeks and 175k in the final week. Premium-plus pass There is no weekly average calculated for the tiers of the premium-plus pass, because the average that you need depends on when you buy the premium-plus pass.
Buying it at the start of the season will let you advance the first 5 tiers (14,000 points). Buying the premium-plus pass at a later moment will let you advance 5 tiers from your position at the moment of buying.
Unfortunately this isn't the case at the end of the tier track. When you don't buy the pass when you have reached tier 42, you will still accumulate points but you no longer advance in tiers. Bying the premium-plus pass after reaching tier 42 will first advance you to tier 47. Then the extra points that you may have got after tier 42 will be taken into account and (if you have enough) will advance you further in the tiers.
Going from tier 42 to tier 47 will only save you 145k points. It is more profitable to buy the premium-plus pass when you have reached tier 37. That will bring you to tier 42, saving 194k points. Taking the double points week into account in a six week season you need 136k weekly and 272k during the double points week to reach tier 52, when you buy the premium-plus pass at the start of the season. When you buy it immediately after having reached tier 37, you need 110k weekly and 221k during the double points week to finish tier 52. When you are only interested in the new buildings (aiming at reaching tier 40), you could buy the premium-plus pass after having reached tier 35. Then it takes 50k weekly and 101k during the double points week to reach tier 40. Additional info -

2023.06.07 01:31 acemiller6 MVIS Green Gang Bus
Hey fellow MicroVision-aries. Its been a long few years since the last sneeze when we saw the stock shoot up well over $20. Since then its been a long slow bleed, all the way down to the most recent bottom a little over a month ago. Because of that, many of us were deeply in the red on our investments (I was down 70% at one point). But as the stock price has exploded over the past few weeks many of us have been made whole and our daily thread has been filled with members mentioning that they are now no longer underwater on their investments. I am one of those folks who finally got made whole... I got on the bus at $2.93 (I'm up to $2.99 after a purchase today). Now I'm driving the bus...and I've been enjoying picking people up along the way.
After a few days of people celebrating, I started keeping a list whenever someone mentioned their cost basis in the daily thread and commenting when I pick people up, but its hard to keep track of everyone. So with the blessing of the mods, I'm creating this post to track anyone who wants to let me know their basis (or publicly proclaimed it already). I don't need to know your share count, but I think its fun to celebrate with everyone when we blow past their basis and they get on the bus.
If I've pulled your info from the daily threads and you don't want it here, let me know and I'll remove it. So without further ado, here's the list I have so far.
The bus is coming to get you... we leave no man (or woman) behind!
Edit 1: First of all, you guys are awesome. Wasn't expecting this huge of a response, so bear with me as I try and add these as they come in. I will get your basis added eventually. And
u/3rmorgan, we comin'... be patient, we comin'

2023.06.07 01:19 mtothej_ Does your store have THIS? Mine has THAT!
Mods, I hope this is okay.
I realize all the members of this Reddit are likely spread out all over the northern hemisphere. However, I thought it would be helpful to do an “in search of” and/or list some of the items we’ve found in our local BBWs in case some of us are local to others. I’m sure we’re all looking for that one thing that might not be available online (or maybe you just don't want to pay for shipping!).
Of course, you’re participation will depend on your level of comfort with sharing your location. I completely understand not wanting to do that!
The following locations and stores local to me have an abundance of these products:
GA, Metro ATL - South Lake Mall
Poppy Lotion
Gingham Love Body Scrub
Gingham Love FFM
Gingham Love Body Cream
At the Beach Shower Gel
You're the One Shower Gel
Disco Day Dream FFM
Disco Day Dream Shower Gel
Pure Wonder FFM
Pure Wonder Shower Gel
GA, Metro ATL - McDonough (Jonesboro Rd.)
Hello Beautiful Lotion
Hello Beautiful Body Cream
Groovy Watermelon FFM
Groovy Watermelon Lotion
Sun-Ripened Raspberry FFM
ISO: GA, Metro ATL: Strawberry Pound Cake (the old packaging on sale)! Good God, where is it?!?!
EDIT: don’t forgot to list your location if you’re looking for something or if you’re listing a find!

2023.06.07 00:20 Strange-Judgment5505 Sunscreen & white florals
I want a small but mighty collection. My ex husband trashed my perfume collection this year. Ready to rebuild! My favorite perfume is a tie between Lys 41 by Le Labo & Vacation by Vacation.
Honorable mentions of past collection, Santal 33 by LL Another 13 by LL Glossier You Black Orchid Beach by Bobbi Brown Wood sage & sea salt by Jo Malone Mimosa & Cardamom by Jo Malone (loved this but wasn’t strong)
HELP ME REBUILD!
I really love le labo because I want my scent to last! I’m an exhausted single mom and while I might look the part I don’t want to smell the part. Something to last awhile is what I want. I want to start going out on dates so something intoxicating would be nice. I have nice day time scents, but think romantic florals.
Brands I want to try, but unsure longevity Diptyque Arquiste Narciso Rodriguez
What would you recommend?

Training
Prior to this race, I had run the distance before for the first time back in February with a time of 1:52:37. So naturally, that was my first goal I had in mind. Anything faster than that time and I’d be happy. An even more ambitious goal that I thought would be just beyond reach was sub 1:45. Anyways, this was my first official start to finish half marathon race.
For background information, I am 26 years old (M) and have been running since 2020. However, 2023 is the year where I’d say I’ve been actually consistent with a running schedule. From 2020-2022, I ran a total of 650 miles. Prior to Sunday’s race, I had logged 300 miles for the year.
Before May, I was running 2-3 times per week. However, after reading 80/20 Running by Matt Fitzgerald in early May, I realized I was doing it all wrong with no tempo runs, no speed workouts etc. Mainly, I would do 5-6 miles per run with a long run (7+ mile run) throughout the week with an average pace of 8:30 per mile. Obviously, I was running way too fast and not doing any low intensity runs. So in May, I switched gears and implemented the 80/20 with my runs and started running 4 days a week. Then on May 10th, I saw an ad on Instagram that the rock n roll race was in San Diego June 4th. I was eager to see how I’d do considering in February I ran my first half marathon on a casual Friday night through the streets of my hometown.
I didn’t really follow any training plan, I just used the 80/20 book for the month of may as a tool of reference. Most of my runs were done in Saucony Endorphin Speed 3 and ASICS Novablast 3. Couple days prior to race, I purchased the Saucony Endorphin Elite for race day.
Pre-Race
To be honest, as the race got closer, I was getting very nervous about how well I’d perform. I started to doubt that I would even finish under my previous time. But when I went to the expo to pick up my bib, I became more excited and motivated being around everyone. The environment was energetic and it was cool to see all these people coming together ready to take on this race. The day before the race, I had rice and ground turkey. I went to bed at 10pm and woke up at 4am. I live 15 min from downtown San Diego and wanted to get there early enough to find parking. The morning of, I ate two slices of peanutbutter toast before I left at 4:15. Around 5 am, I ate a rice krispy treat. The race started at 6:15am and I was in coral 4.
Race
Miles 1-3: I ran around a pace of 8:30. It was both intentional and unintentional. There was a lot of runners all around so it was sometimes hard to navigate through people without running into someone. But I didn't want to start out too fast anyways.
Miles 4-6: I felt good. I was surprised with how well I was doing without being tired. I attempted to take my first cup of water from the aid station and totally failed at that, spilling half of the water as I ran and almost choked on the water that I had tried to drink so I had to spit it out.
Miles 6-8: I was in the zone during these miles. I was just cruising along amused by all the signs, bands, spectators etc. One sign in particular "Smile, you paid to do this!" actually made me smile and laugh because I thought to myself "you know what? you're right.. I did lol" My music was on point playing all the perfect songs to keep me going (Rocky soundtracks, Creed 1-2 soundtracks etc).
Miles 9-10 : This is where I started to get a little tired but I was trying not to think about it too much. I had semi successfully gotten a cup of water this time from the aid station and was able to get some sips while spilling some on my chest but that felt refreshing so I didn't care much. Around this time, I also had one gu energy gel thing but regretted doing that. The consistency was too thick for me. That was my fault though. I didn't really experiment with gu's or gels before the race to find out which one I would like.
Mile 11: Although the downhill portion gave me a pace of 6:47 for that mile, I was not trying to go that fast. Gravity worked its magic on me. And the construction section was kind of boring to run through. However, it was around this time where I looked at my watch and saw that my overall time was 1:26:00 ish. This made me realize that if I finish the last two miles sub 8:00, I'd sub 1:45 easily.
Miles 12-13 : Even though I knew how close I was to finishing, I just couldn't go any faster than I was going. My legs were exhausted and I just wanted to be done with this race. Crossing the finish line and seeing my finish time on my watch read 1:41:55 made me so proud of my performance and for knocking 10 minutes off my PR from February.
Post-race
I was very proud with my performance and felt relieved that I had gone through with this race. Shortly after finishing, I grabbed my medal, took a bottle of water and gatorade, banana and welch's fruit snacks from the volunteers to replenish. I was exhausted and my legs felt like lead with every step I took. But it was a good feeling and it felt very rewarding for all the work I have done this year helped me achieve a great PR for my first half marathon race. I have already signed up for my first marathon race in Long Beach of October and began looking at different training plans. I have no doubt that with proper training, I will do great at this marathon. Thank you all for reading.

Frequently Asked Questions: Q: Why is X artist higher than Y artist on the 200 chart, even though X artist sold less?
A: This is because of a discrepancy between Billboard's ranking and the ranking from the website that the sales data is scraped from
Q: Where do you get the sales data from?
A:
https://hitsdailydouble.com/sales_plus_streaming Q: What does "err" mean on the 200 chart?
A: If you are seeing "err", that means that the bot I use to gather chart data couldn't identify sales data for a particular album because of a difference in album naming between Billboard and HitsDailyDouble

2023.06.06 15:48 JJTortilla Idea for a trail spur for the new trail extension ending in a park converted from mall parking lot.
| So, I had this idea, most of the trail spurs are going across Lauren's road into the various neighborhoods that exist there, and I like those spurs as they should provide great access for the tons of city residents that live that way. But like, lets be real here. Those neighborhoods are houses which are pretty low density. There is a corridor along Laurel Creek going the other direction to the mall that would provide access to the trail for a plethora of apartment complexes as well as providing direct access to the mall area from the trial. I had this as an idea since, most of the time, that mall parking lot is mostly empty (except during a few days in the holiday season). Part of it could be converted into a city park, which would provide the mall and surrounding area with a new great place, and it could also act as another trailhead since there is plenty of parking there already. Anyways, thought I'd throw the idea out here and see what my fellow citizens think about it. https://preview.redd.it/k9igze0mhe4b1.png?width=1175&format=png&auto=webp&s=b4bbd3ef612c18502fb2626d9d96cdaadd3a85e8 submitted by JJTortilla to greenville [link] [comments] |
2023.06.06 14:05 JBAnswers26 FLL Airport viewing area is a hidden gem
Over the weekend, I took my toddler daughter to the airport observation area at FLL (off W Perimeter Rd and SW 39th St) and she loved it! Worth the drive down from Palm Beach County. Plenty of space to park, really nice views of the aircraft taxiing and taking off/landing, and best of all: it's free.
Anyone else been here before?

The Reunion written by Richard McCrohan
In this new novella by Richard McCrohan, novelist Jonathan York is flying back to his hometown of Hillcrest for his 50th high school reunion. He hasn’t returned since he left for college in 1971. A long weekend of old memories and rekindled friendships is what he is warmly looking forward to. And to reunite with his old crew. But what Jonathan is going to find waiting for him is a 50-year-old dark secret and a long forgotten past that threatens to rip apart the rest of his life.
Children of the Yew written by Tony Torzillo
When Wesley O’Keefe first realized he didn’t age, he could’ve been hung as a witch. Now, he’s eager to be studied by a microbiologist looking for a cure to cancer. All Wesley wants is to share his miracle with the world. In the year 2042, technology has made it almost impossible for him to assume new identities, and after 300 years, he’s tired of watching loved ones wither up and die.
Yet, opening that Pandora’s Box does not come without consequences. Powerful people will do whatever they can to hoard this miracle for themselves—no matter whom they have to step on, ruin, or kill. From bioterrorism to neural scans and artificial intelligence, they will use whatever means are available to them to meet their end. Wesley’s past will catch up to him in ways he could have never imagined, and he will find that he has more to lose than he ever knew.
When the superstitious past meets the technologically progressive future, ancient grudges can be catastrophic, and agelessness can spread like a virus.
Goodbye to the Sun written by Jonathan Nevair
A rebel pilot teams up with a war-torn diplomat in a bid to win her people's freedom—but an impossible choice awaits.... Tucked away in the blue sands of Kol 2, the Motes are on the brink of cultural collapse. Razor, a bold and daring pilot, leads a last-ditch gambit against their local oppressors, the Targitians. The plan is to abduct visiting Ambassador Keen Draden and use him as a bargaining chip to restore her people's independence in the Sagittarius Arm. But when the operation unravels, Razor is forced to renegotiate terms with the arrogant diplomat.
Light years away on Heroon, a radical resistance blossoms. The alluring rainforest planet haunts Keen. All his problems started there during the Patent War, but it's where Razor's troubles may find a solution. The moral tide ebbs, exposing an impossible choice that links their futures together more tragically than they ever thought possible.
Goodbye to the Sun is inspired by the Greek tragedy Antigone.
Shawtuck Asylum written by Richard McCrohan In 1859, the Shawtuck Lunatic Asylum opened in rural Delaware County as the new standard for the treatment of the mentally ill. But now this huge, Gothic structure sits brooding and abandoned, brought down by a long, sordid history of depravity, mistreatment, and murder. It may be rotting up on Shawtuck Mountain, but it's not alone.
Oswald "Oz" Patterson is the new sheriff of Delaware County. After a near-death experience as a cop in the South Bronx, he decided to move away from the inner city and live a safer life. But Oz will find that he has only traded one nightmare for an even worse one.
Kassius Kanex written by MK Schultz
Kassius Kanex loves his home and family but hates his job and wants to quit. A chance meeting with strange men looking for directions inspires a change in Kass. He is led down a new path that not only rescues him from his perceived career imprisonment, but also leads to the fulfillment of his destiny.
When his family becomes endangered by his new life, Kass’ full identity is revealed. His truth previously existed dormant inside of him, but Kass is now awakened. Following a visit to three doors of mystery, his true essence is discovered and a choice is made.
Danger and suspense build as more truths come to light, and Kass wonders if things will turn out better or worse. He still hides one secret, though, and its admission will change everything.
Romance
Snake: Missoula Bad Boys, Book 2 written by Piper Stone (each book in this series is a standalone novel)
She's determined to make me whole again. I just plan to make her mine.
I left Missoula to serve my country and came back a bitter, broken man. But when Chastity Garrington made my recovery her personal crusade, I decided I had a mission of my own.
Mastering her.
Her task won't be easy, and the fire in her eyes tells me mine won't either. Yet, the spark between us is instant, and we both know she'll be wet, sore, and screaming my name soon enough.
But I want more than that.
By the time my body has healed, I plan to have claimed her heart.
Publisher's Note:
Snake is a standalone novel, but is the second entry in the
Missoula Bad Boys series. It includes spankings and rough, intense sexual scenes. If such material offends you, please don't download this audiobook.
Dream Rider written by Kimberly Dean
As a Dream Weaver, Zane Oneiros isn’t supposed to hitch rides on the dreams of his charges, but he can’t help himself when the dreamer is Emily Hutchins.
In the waking world, Emily is his work friend. Beautiful, conscientious, and prompt. Zane is known for being brash, fun-loving, and a bit too reckless with the powers handed down to him from the Greek gods of ancient past. Could an introvert extrovert romance even work?
All Zane wants to know is if Emily thinks about him while she sleeps...if there’s any hope for friends to become lovers...or if he’ll be stuck in the work friend zone forever. Yet when he and Emily start sharing dreams—
and a kiss—the entire daytime world flips upside down.
Sweet, strict Emily is suddenly adventurous, and in more ways than one. Happy as Zane is about the change in their relationship, he worries that he’s meddled where he shouldn’t. For Emily isn’t sleeping well, and her behavior is spiraling out of control. Soon Zane is battling to get the old Emily back and make their dreams turn real,
not the nightmares.
Brutal Heir written by Piper Stone
The evening started with dinner in Paris. It ended with me as his captive.
When I went to an author convention, I didn't expect to find myself enjoying a rooftop meal with the sexiest cover model in the business, let alone screaming his name in bed later that night.
I didn't plan to be targeted by assassins, rushed to a helicopter under cover of armed men, and then spirited away to his home country with my bottom still burning from a spanking either, but it turns out there are some really important things I didn't know about Diavolo Montoya.
Like the fact that he's the heir to a notorious crime syndicate.
I should hate him, but even as his prisoner, our connection is too intense to ignore, and I'm beginning to realize that what began as a moment of passion is going to end with me as his.
Forever.
Publisher's Note:
Brutal Heir includes spankings and rough, intense sexual scenes. If such material offends you, please don't download this book.
Debt of Loyalty: Eagle force, Book 2 written by Piper Stone
A drug lord took her captive. I took her back...and I'm not giving her up. After she was kidnapped in broad daylight, I was hired to bring Willow Cavanaugh home, but as the daughter of a wealthy family, she's used to getting what she wants rather than taking orders.
Too bad.
She'll do as she's told, or she'll earn herself a stern, shameful reminder of who is in charge. But it will take more than just a well-spanked bare bottom to truly tame this feisty little rich girl.
She'll learn her place over my knee, but it's in my bed that I'll make her mine.
Publisher's Note: Debt of Loyalty is a stand-alone novel which is the second entry in the
Eagle Force series. It includes spankings and rough, intense sexual scenes. If such material offends you, please don't download this audiobook.
Beautiful Seduction: Sinners and Saints Book 3 written by Piper Stone
He saved my life. Then he claimed me as his. In my late-night hunt for the perfect pastry, I never expected to be the victim of a brutal attack...or for a brooding, blue-eyed stranger to become my savior, tending to my wounds while easing my fears. The electricity exploded between us, turning into a night of incredible passion.
Only later did I learn that Valentin Vincheti is the heir to the New York Italian mafia empire.
Then he came to take me, and this time he wasn't gentle. I shouldn't have surrendered, but with each savage kiss and stinging stroke of his belt his beautiful seduction became more difficult to resist. But when one of his enemies sets his sights on me, will my secrets put our lives at risk?
Publisher's Note: Beautiful Seduction is a stand-alone novel which is the third entry in the
Sinners and Saints series. It includes spankings and rough, intense sexual scenes. If such material offends you, please don't buy this book.
Blood Crown: Freedom's Harem, Book 1 written by Elizabeth Brown and Torri Heat Narrated by myself and Katrina Medina.
In a world where men rule and slavery is the common practice, being the only queen and abolishing slavery puts a large target on your back.
Ashera is a queen in a world of kings. She took her crown and has paid for it in blood. Not everyone is willing to let her rule in peace, however, especially not the neighboring kingdoms for whom human slavery is still very much in practice. Ashera continues to bleed for her crown while showing each kingdom that men aren’t the only ones who can rule. But when a resistance against Ashera’s rule grows, she’s forced to realize that she can’t create widespread change on her own. She’ll need to win the hearts of the men who rule alongside her if she’s to crush the resistance and free all of humanity.
Seducing them is easy; she’s a succubus with lithe curves and a wicked tongue. It’s getting them to change their minds that is the challenge. Especially when she’s faced with an unruly and violent vampire prince, an over-the-top dramatic fae prince, an angelic king, and a demonic assassin. They’re all alpha males in their own right, each one thinking they know what’s best for their queen. Unfortunately for them, she has no intention of listening.
This is a fast-burn reverse harem.
Let me know which one you would like and I'll send you a promotional code to download the audiobook!

2023.06.05 18:33 Colatsc Trip Report May 28th - June 3rd
Spent from May 28th -June 3rd in Iceland doing the Ring Road with another family member.
Lodging- Booking.com and Airbnb were the two primary sources used for securing lodging.
Car rental - Renault Captur drove 1314 miles and cost $1000 for full protection , prepaid fuel, and roadside assistant. I hold top tier status with National so this was a cheaper route renting from them.
Clothing - Base layer thermals, 5.11 pants, layered fleece, and a outside Columbia jacket that acted as a wind and rain protection layer. Wore a Icelandic wool hat that I purchased from a previous trip. Wore sneaker Oboz trail shoes. No need for hiking poles, gloves, etc.
Planning - Most reservations were made in October and November 2022. Restaurant reservations were made as they came available.
Pace - We did not have an extended time so we did do some “jumps” on the Ring Road in the more wildnerness areas by driving 2-3 hrs to lodging or early morning. For some people this sounds horrible, but we both really enjoy the lowering sunlight casting it rays on the mountians along with the solitude. We had a lot of buffer times built in and actually was stuck with a lot of free time.
Driving - Driving is rather easy with mostly paved roads and some gravel. Be mindful of your driving capabilities, exhaustion, and weather ahead. Always check the apps, weather reports, and general reddit post every morning.
Gas - Go to N1 and walk inside to the attendant and ask for the pump to be turned on. They may ask for an ID. Or purchase N1 gift cards to use at the remote pumps if your feeling bold. Never go below half a tank and if you plan your trip right that won’t be a big concern. No need for credit card pin unless using remote pumps.
Weather - Rain and wind on day one arriving with cold temperatures. Weather broke with sunny and mid 50’s the rest of the trip around the Ring Road. Highest temperature we saw was 60 degrees.
Sunday, May 28th
Arrived at Baltimore Airport and stayed in the airport lounge before departure at 7pm. Priority boarding was purchased along with seat selection.Plane ride was fine, but was stuck next to an oversize passenger who invaded my seat preventing me from sleeping. We arrived at 5:00 am after a 30 minute delay on take off. Weather was chilly 40 with a drizzle rain. Heavy rolling fog and overcast sky.
Walked through customs with almost no wait. They are under remodel so big changes will be coming here. Got on the sky blue rental car shuttle that was empty and dropped us off at our stop. We picked up the car with National at a schedule pick up 6:30 am with an actual pick up at 6 am. Got upgraded due to status with a vehicle with a higher clearance. First thing we did was the bridge between continents as we waited for the bakery to open. Got breakfast at Kökulist bakery near the airport which opened at 7 am. Blue Lagoon Reservation at 8:00 am - Upgraded to premium - not really worth it in my opinion. Drinks were good. Attempted to stop at the grocery stores or Costco at 10: 30 am, but things were closed. Parked at Laugavegur parking garage, napped for 30 mins in car, and ate breakfast at Grillhusio and walked downtown to kill time.
We pressed onward and drove to Golden circle with random stops for scenery. Stopped at the Oxarafoss waterfall top parking lot first and hiked it. Then drove by the Geysir Geothermal area, but due to miserable weathecrowds we passed by. Went to Gulfoss and it was - windy/rainy. rainy, parked at top and only did top observation deck. Observed many people unprepared for weather and the winds.
We did not do Faxafoss as paid access was required and it wasn’t worth it to us.
Had Reservations at Friðheimar 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm. Excellent food and we did the unlimited soup and bread for about $20 a person. Had the apple pie dessert which was fabalous. To pay just go to the bar and tell them your table number that is on the twig piece on your table.
Finally stop was our lodging at the Blue View Hotel - Cabin 7A right by the restaurant which was a clean, new two bedroom cottage. Well worth the value and was easy to access with self checkin using an email from them with codes.
Notes: Drive Time Between Airport and Lodging = 2 hours We stayed up for a day and half to overcome the time difference. We arrived at our lodging at 5pm and were in bed by 6:30 pm to take advantage of the 24/7 light.
Monday, May 29th
Breakfast was items left from the bakery the previous day we purchased.
Did Seljalandfoss/Gljurabui (early arrival the better due to crowds/pay parking) - arrived 6 am after 3:30 am wake up. We actually circled back to Gluggafoss which was completely empty around 7:30 am. Drove Fjotshiloavegur rd back to the N1 in Hvolsvollur for gas and breakfast proper.
Then get to horse back riding at Skalalot Manor Hotel - 9:30 am arrival required. Arrived at 8:30 am actual time. Place was well kept and they treated their horses with a lot of love and respect. Did an all day ride with the morning spent on the glacier and the evening ride on the black sand beaches. I actually had a difficult horse that was having a bad day in the morning and she successful threw me/I controlled bailed out off the horse to avoid getting implaed on a fence post. Lunch provided at the hotel was excellent and a lot of high end options.
Went to Skogsfoss around 6:30 pm. Then drove through Vik, but did not stop as it was extremely crowded with buses and the gas station looked mobbed.
Arrived at Hotel Laki around 7:45 pm and found that the rooms were clean, simple, and under remodel in the hallways. Excellent simple buffet with hot and cold choices with two protein choices. Staff were attentive and the weather started to break with sun peeking though.
Note: Drive time from Blue View to Horseback Riding = 1 hour and 30 minutes- finished at 6 pm Drive time from Horseback Riding to Hotel Laki = 1 hour and 30 mins Dinner at Hotel Laki (anytime between 7-9 pm )
Tuesday, May 30th
Woke up at 8 am and ate breakfast buffet at Hotel Laki. Left hotel at 10 am. Also, we woke up to a road closure by Diamond Beach due to high winds causing a motor vehicle accident per the Iceland news site and the road safety app. We hiked Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon for about an hour with moderate crowds. Beware of parking in the lot as people can trap you in blocking with a camper van. Finally around 11 am the Road closure on ring road due to wind was reopen so we decided to immediately start that way after a quick stop at the N1 by Hotel Laki. Drive time from Canyon to Diamond beach - 1 hr and 45 minutes. Stopped and did first overlook at the Mulagljufur Canyon. Narrow parking lot with limited options. The Fjallsarlon Iceberg tour site has an on-site restaurant . Ate here about 30 mins before a 2:30 pm boat tour. Excellent food with a choice of buffet, soup, and sandwiches. Tour lasted an hour. Tour Diamond Beach and Glacial Lake (about 12 mins btw the two glacier lakes) Drive time from Diamond Beach to Hofn for dinner at Pakkhús Restaurant - 1 hr. Got gas at the N1 here. Then 2 hr 45 min to Egilsstadir - arrived at cottage at about 10 pm. We LOVED this drive with the Ring Road turning into gravel with steep cliffs, sweeping views, and beautiful dramatic landscapes. The sun was really hitting everything making it even more special. Stay near Egilsstadir at Abot Cottage. Cute and practical place with one bedroom and a loft.
Wednesday, May 31st
Big driving day for us - FYI Woke up around 6 am and left immediately to seize early morning opportunity. Stopped off at the Stuolafoss Canyon but nesting birds prevented hike. Did 100 ish stairs down to overlook. Noticed a few people violating the posted signage of closure till June 10th for nesting birds on the cliff. Drove to Selfoss/Dettifsoss. One road is gravel and more adventurous and the other side of the canyon is completely paved now for tour buses. Was about a 2 hr drive herre from cottage this morning. Arriving at Dettifoss there was no one on the adventure side which was amazing experience. We didn’t see another human or car for almost 3 hrs! We decided to do the gravel road side up and stop off at the Asbury Cliffs for gas at the N1 and see the little museum. Ate lunch right at 11 am on the paved road side back to the Ring Road. Excellent little burger place. Did geothermal area (parking $10) and also the John snow grotto. Stopped at gas station/grocery store for snacks and drinks. Stopped at Godafoss - got here at 1:45 pm Drove into Akureyri/Piddle around shops - spent 35 mins here and left at 4:30 pm. I mostly wanted to go to one knitted sweatershop and talk to the older lady who knits there. Always super kind! Pay your toll for the tunnel within 24 hours! 2 hr drive to Stay in Northwest Guesthouse and Restaurant in Víðigerði, 531 Hvammstangi, Iceland. Looked dumpy from the outside but they had excellent lamb chops - room was small but had a common sitting area outside rooms. Breakfast was lacking. Did waterfall right by hotel that was a favorite. Do not let this place fool you!
Thursday, June 1st
Goal -Hvammstangi to outside Reykjavik. We had a lot of buffer time built in and decided to redo some things from first day that was rained out. First, we stopped at the KIDKA Wool Factory Shop in Hofoabraut at 8 am. Then stopped at the Alafoss Wool Factory Shop near Reykjavik to finish shopping. Then drove to the Secret Lagoon for 2 pm access. Did the geysers we drove past and got lunch here at the cafe. Drove to Reykjavik downtown to walk around, relax , bread bowl soup, ice cream and some beers till 10:30 pm. Stayed at Airbnb. Note - I left my headphones at the cottage on night one so we picked those up as well.
Friday, June 2nd
Penis museum at opening and hotdogs for breakfast at the famous hot dog place nearby . Got coffee at famous cat place, was mobbed for food and a really small place. Hike into the Volcano Tour - 12 pm takes six hours. Easy drive to parking lot for tour. Highlight of trip. They provide food, harnesses, and helmet. Not strenuous walk, just a tad long hike over a gravel path in the lave field. Walked downtown after volcano tour, swapped police patches, and other random items. Our big dinner was at Matur og Drykkur at 8:30 pm and was beyond amazing with a good wine pairing. Stayed at the Airbnb night 2.
Saturday, June 3rd
Walked downtown and went to Brauo & Co Bakery for cinnamon rolls at 9:30. Returned car at 11:30 am with a boarding at 2 pm. I value not waiting in security or lines so a 30 minute early arrival meant no lines for car return, bus, or security. Sat down in airport and ate lunch in preparation for long flight home. Flight back 3:00 pm

2023.06.05 17:40 TurBeau31 TLDR: Beware the ThermalTake GF A3 1050W PSU
This is an email I sent today to GN, J2C and TT: It basically spells out the problems I had with the new PSU made by TT. It is very long, but it details my experience with this PSU and TT Support/Warranty... so far.
I am not trying to hide or skew anything. These are my interpretations, perceptions, opinions, and experience in this process.
System Specs for reference:
Phanteks NV7 Case
6x 120mm CoolerMaster SickleFlow Fans
3x 140mm CoolerMaster SickleFlow Fans
6x 120mm CoolerMaster SickleFlow Fans on 360 CoolerMaster Infinity Radiator in Push/Pull configuration
2x AsiaHorse Fan Hubs
ASUS Prime Z690-P WIFI MB
12700k I9
2TB WD_Black SN850 NVME
ASUS TUF 4090 OC
32GB DDR5 G.Skill RIPJAWS RAM (at 5600) XMP1
My Specs for reference:
41 y/o male with some computer-building skills.
Nearing first retirement from the military after 20+ years of service.
Thinking about going into IT as a gig afterward.
I like long walks on the beach and I am a Capricorn.
I ordered a TT 1050W GF A3 to upgrade my TT 750W because I recently was able to purchase a 4090. I installed the new power supply, hooked everything up with the provided cables, double-checked all the connections, especially to the 4090 because of melting plugs, and then turned on the PSU main power. I watched the motherboard light up and thought I was well on my way to start tinkering with OC on the 4090.
Problem #1: I hit the power button and watch all my lights and fans kick on for about 1/2 a second then everything went dark. I heard an unusual and very low "pop" noise but didn't smell anything or see any smoke. I turned off the main power and I checked to make sure the surge protector I have the CPU plugged into didn't trip for some reason but it was good. I checked all the connections, everything was tight and seemed good. I turned the main power back on, watched the lights on the motherboard turn on, with no issue, waited a few seconds, observed to make sure no smoke or unusual burning smells, and pushed the power button on the CPU again. Light and fans flashed on quicker this time then everything went dark.
At this point, I was like "nope," something is wrong. I pulled the PSU and all of its cables, put my TT 750W back in, and turned everything back on. CPU fired right up. I lost lights on 4x 120mm fans, and on 1x 120mm fan, the LEDs were going crazy. Obviously, it had been damaged somehow. I noticed also on 2x 140mm fans (out of 3) half the LEDs were out. It seemed whatever the issue was, it happened on the 5v side. The power supply was providing power to 2x AsiaHorse fan hubs via a peripheral SATA power cable. I do some basic troubleshooting to make sure the finicky 5v connector was plugged in right. I was just going to take this as a loss and send the PSU back to Amazon for a refund, but they recommend I contact the manufacturer.
I contacted TT via phone and told them about the issue.
Problem #2: Customer Service asked me how I got a TT GF A3, they didn't know that they were selling them yet. I told him I bought it from Amazon. I could hear him checking and he was like "oh... well I guess we are selling these now."
They want me to send them the PSU and the fans for testing. They eluded to potentially covering the cost of the damaged components. I can't go without my computer so...
Problem #3: I ordered new fans and as I was installing them I noticed the 5v cord that leads to the motherboard from a fan hub was bubbled up and melted... badly. I am pretty sure at this point both of my fan hubs are also fried. So I contact the rep again and tell him that I installed my TT 750W power supply and now know my fan hubs were also damaged by whatever happened with the PSU. He was very confused. He asked me if I hooked up the GF A3 again in a very "you are an idiot" tone of voice. Maybe that was just my interpretation, but still... I explained to him that I used my old PSU again while we sort this out because I can't go without my computer. He tells me that I will need to send in the fan hubs also for testing. So I order new fan hubs also so that I can have a functioning computer.
Problem #4: As I get the new fans in, and now the new fan hubs, I install everything and this is when I realize the 140mm fans at the bottom of the case are also damaged. I contact customer service again. At this point, I can tell there is some irritation because I keep adding stuff to the list of damaged products. Again, everything that was damaged came from the same peripheral SATA power cord from the PSU. This cord is the one that I noticed had a different PIN layout from the TT 750W PSU I had.
Problem #5: TT needs proof that I purchased all of the components for them to consider replacing them. I have to find original invoices for all of these parts... I find invoices for every part except 1x 3-pack of the 120mm fans. The 6x 120MM fans I had came in 2x packs of 3. So TT says they will only replace 3x of the fans because even though can ship them 5x damaged 120mm fans, they will only replace 3... because I don't have the invoice for the other two. Obviously, those two fans without the invoice appeared out of thin air and didn't cost me anything #sarcasm. I find the invoices for everything else and send them all via email. I have to go back and forth with them via email before I finally call because they couldn't figure out the invoices for the 140mm fans. Whatever, that was confusion, it happens.
Problem #6: I have to pay to ship all of the items to TT. I have 7 days to accomplish this or they won't honor anything.
Problem #7: They will not refund the taxes. Government wins.
Problem #8: There is no timeline on when I will receive a refund, if any, and how I will receive a refund.
Problem #9: I am not even going to bother to ship the 140mm fans because they won't fit in the box that I am sending and it would literally cost more to try to get the company to replace them than if I just eat the loss.
Problem #10: This one is kind of on me. I always had great luck with TT before. I think, well, it's a brand new product, maybe I just got the bad egg... So I order an identical GF A3 again so I can get my computer the 1k watts it deserves. Hook it all up... and guess what? It flashes on and then back off. This time I immediately was like "nope" and I contacted Amazon to send it back. Amazon suggested I contact customer service at TT, and I said no thanks. Amazon said ok, I dropped off the PSU at a local UPS place, Amazon refunded me the full amount of the PSU plus taxes, and paid for return shipping, all within an hour of dropping it off at the UPS store. It isn't even Amazon's warranty and it is doing better than TT. I end up ordering a 1000W FSP Hydro G Pro. Hook it all up and it works flawlessly.
Problem #11: During this time, I try to hook something up to the 5v 3 pin header on the motherboard that the fan hub was connected to and that is when I find out that the header on the motherboard doesn't work anymore... It's not worth the headache to get a new motherboard with TT.
I say all of this because I think there is a genuine problem with this new GF A3 PSU. No way you get two bad eggs in a row with basically the same problem. I think the company needs to look at it. I think your teams should check it out. And I think TT needs to do better on their warranty process. I have used multiple TT products over the years. They lost me as a customer with this whole experience. I consider myself a lucky one. I have a little extra disposable income to buy new parts to get my system back up and running but I know what it is like when you are struggling to make ends meet and some people wouldn't have been able to get their system back up and running within a few days. I hope this email makes it to the right people at GN, J2C and TT, so maybe they figure out the PSU issue and make their warranty process better. 10-year warranty and it breaks the first time you turn it on and blows up other things? Then all of these issues on top of it. They can and should do better.

2023.06.04 23:27 truedilemma What happened to these six older and elderly women? A write up of five women who went missing under mysterious circumstances.
This post is about a couple of older and elderly women who vanished without a trace. I wanted to include women who disappeared without much of an explanation. When elderly people go missing, their disappearances can often be chalked up to a dementia-related event. I believe many elderly people who vanished with their cars may be in the bottom of lakes and rivers. Those who lived near wilderness may have gotten lost and died of exposure. Those who were picked up or hitchhiked could've been brought to a hospital where they were unable to communicate their true identity. The women I included went missing under more suspicious circumstances.
Mayme Hart Johnson - Disappeared June 12th, 2000 from Nashville, Tennessee.
Mayme is the first on the list and the reason I decided to do this post. On June 12th, 2000, Mayme Hart Johnson, a local historian, researcher, and teacher went missing from Nashville, Tennessee. Mayme, who was 85, lived in the 100 block of Bosley Springs Road in West Nashville with her son, Sam, in his apartment. At 6:30 am that morning, her son woke to find his mother gone. While he reported that he wasn't initially concerned because Mayme occasionally left the apartment around that time, he became alarmed when she didn't return by lunchtime. Where Mayme would go/what she would do at that time is not known.
Richland Creek is close by to the apartments, but from what I've seen, it's narrow and a body would probably soon be found if it was in there, despite it being 28 miles long. Of course, there is always a chance she made it into a larger body of water that concealed her. A maintenance man from the Johnson's building told authorities that he had seen Mayme at 6:30 am the day she went missing. This was around the time Sam woke up. Whether this employee saw her outside the building, inside the building, near or on her apartment floor, or down the street is not mentioned. At the time of her disappearance Mayme was 5'5, 120 pounds, with brown eyes and gray hair, and last seen wearing pink pants and a pink blouse. Whether these were pajamas or not (possibly indicating a dementia-like episode, where she got up out of the house and left without telling her son or getting dressed) is, like many things in this case, unknown. Mayme, as I mentioned, was a historian and if you google her name you will find a few sites that show her body of work. In 1986, she published "A Treasury of Tennessee Churches". A search for Mayme was conducted in the Nashville area and extended to Huntingdon, TN, where her husband's grave was, and where she had been visiting the weekend before she vanished. There was also an aerial search of Eastern Maury County that took place in July 2000 after law enforcement came up with a theory that she could be a target of the I-65 rapist. I'm not sure where police got this idea from. The I-65/Days Inn Killer, now identified as Harry Edward Greenwell, murdered three hotel clerks (ages 21, 24, 34) in the late 1980s. He also sexually assaulted a 21 year old hotel clerk in 1990. While LE does believe he's connected to more violent crimes, I'm not sure how they link Mayme to him--if you know, please add your knowledge in the comments. After the aerial search, nothing was found linking anything to Mayme. In 2008 she was declared deceased.
-
Helen Joyce Rawley - disappeared June 4th, 2003 from College Park, Maryland
Helen Joyce Rawley lived in a bungalow on the 4600 block of Knox Road in College Park, Maryland with her son. 75 year old Helen went by her middle name "Joyce" so that is how I'll refer to her. Seventy-five year old Joyce and her son, Tom, had lived together since the death of Joyce's husband of 48 years, Nelson, in 2001. Between 6:45 and 7:00 am on June 4th, 2003, Joyce was last seen by her tenant, a man who had rented a room at the Rawley home for the last eight years. Joyce was seen by him on her porch that morning as he returned home from work. Beginning the day after her husband died in February 2001, Joyce suffered two strokes four days apart. Because of the strokes, she was unable to talk and considered disabled because of her inability to communicate. In 2002, Joyce underwent chemotherapy and radiation for rectal cancer. She was on medication that made her tired and weak. She didn't go out anywhere by herself except to get the mail. Her mind remained "sound", according to her son. The day she went missing, her son returned home from his foreman job at 3:30 pm, and found the house empty with the lights off. Joyce's purse and wallet remained left behind in her bedroom, everything was in place, and there were no signs of a robbery. Police tracked Joyce's scent out the front door which she never used, and to the corner of the block. However, she went missing on a "rain-soaked" and "dreary" day and it's possible the bad weather could've washed away any more of her scent outside. Since the death of her husband who died unexpectedly in his sleep, and her two other sons who died together in a 1982 boating accident, Joyce's immediate family consisted of her remaining child Tom, who was unmarried and childless at the time of his mother's disappearance. If she had other family out of the area is unknown. She does have a beach house in Annapolis, Maryland, but had not visited there after she went missing. She was 75 when she disappeared, standing between 5'4-5'5 and 110 pounds. Due to her cancer, she wore a colostomy bag and was on several medications that she can't go long without. Fliers with Joyce's information went out, woods were searched, local bus drivers were notified and questioned if they had seen her, and hospitals had been checked. A helicopter flew over the city at night with a heat-detecting device. No sight of her was ever found. She had brown eyes and white hair and was last seen in a sweatshirt and slacks. She enjoys gardening, crossword puzzles, and reading. Police don't suspect foul play and Tom isn't considered a suspect (neither is the tenant who was the last to see her), but they aren't sure what could've happened.

Maebell Dawson - disappeared January 3rd, 1998 from Jefferson Township, Ohio
68 year old Maebell Dawson had lived in a one bedroom apartment on the 2nd floor of the Martin Luther Manor Living Center on Liscum Drive for about a year when she went missing. Maebell was divorced, had two daughters, and had retired from a hospital housekeeping job two years prior. Maebell was close to her family, and when calls to reach her went unanswered for two days, by January 5th, her residence was checked. Nothing in the second-story apartment was missing or out of place. Her winter coat was draped over a chair, her wallet, credit cards, cash, and a check for rent dated 1/8/98 were all found in her purse on the table. Her bank account was never accessed again. There were no signs of forced entry, a struggle or robbery inside the apartment. LE does not believe Maebell was attacked from her apartment or lured from the premises, but they do believe foul play was involved. According to CharleyProject, suicide "has not been ruled out but has been deemed unlikely". In 1998, Maebell was between 5'4 - 5'6 and 180 pounds. She had brown eyes and gray hair, wore glasses, and was last seen in a tan jogging suit. She was last seen entering her apartment at 9:30 pm on January 3rd. Five and a half years after her disappearance, Maebell was declared legally dead.

Norma Mae Maynard - disappeared February 3rd, 1979 from Boone, Iowa.
Norma Mae Maynard went missing in early February of 1979, just two weeks after the unexpected death of her husband, Carl, on January 19th. Norma and Carl had been married for three decades and Norma was deeply grieving the loss. Norma lived with her 30 year old son, and he was the last to see his mother. He stated that shortly before noon on February 2nd, he found a note from his 61 year old mother that stated she was on her way to Los Angeles, not to look for her, and that she'd get in touch again someday. The validity of this note (if seen by LE, if handwritten analysis was performed, etc) is not known. Norma's purse and a few items of clothing were missing, but her checkbook and jewelry were left behind. There was no sign of a break-in at the house. Her husband's pension which she lived off of and her bank account with savings was not touched. Norma was a shy woman who spent most of her time at home and had a regular routine. She didn't drive and her brothers stated that she had never been more than a few miles from her hometown. Her husband's funeral bill was paid for by a check dated four days after she vanished and signed by "Mrs. Carl Maynard". According to Charley Project, "The signature appeared to match Maynard's handwriting, and her son said she had signed a blank check and left it with him to fill in and pay the bill". The validity of this is not known either. A sighting of a woman matching Norma's description was seen by a local Greyhound bus station employee. The woman was boarding a bus bound for Los Angeles. Police are not sure of the accuracy of this sighting and consider it "shaky". Norma didn't drive but she didn't normally travel by bus, and why she allegedly went to Los Angeles is unknown: she had no friends or family there. Norma's son was not considered a suspect in her case, though some members of her family believe he was involved in her disappearance. He has maintained his innocence and has since moved out of state. Norma was 5'3 tall and weight 175 pounds, with blue eyes and gray hair. If she was alive today, she'd be 105. I believe someone close to her knows what happened and made up the story about her leaving for California. My second theory would be suicide, and she made up the California story so her family wouldn't worry.

Yu Chin Goodson - disappeared March 25th, 2005 from Russellville, Franklin County, Alabama.
Yu Chin Goodson is one of the youngest on my list, and at 57, I wouldn't classify her as elderly, but she is an older woman with a lot of mental and physical issues, who went missing under mysterious circumstances like these other women. Yu Chin is an Asian woman suffering from paranoid schizophrenia, diabetes, and a heart problem which required daily medication. In 2005, she was living in group home for patients with mental disabilities in Russellville, Alabama. On March 25th, 2005, a witness claimed to see Yu Chin enter a small, older grey or silver car with a loud muffler. The car was headed toward the Decatur, Alabama area, which is where her son lives. Staff at the group home were informed that Yu Chin was gone, and within 15 minutes of her disappearance, the police were notified and a search for Yu Chin began. No trace of her was ever found. Her son, who lives in the Decatur area, was never contacted by his mother. There has been no mention of foul play, and authorities believe she could currently be homeless and living in shelters. At the time of this write up, she has been missing for almost twenty years and would be around 75 if still alive.

Barbara B. Blount - disappeared May 2nd, 2008 from Holden, Louisiana
Barbara B. Blount was a 58 year old widow who lived on the same road as her children, kept in regular contact with her family and friends, and was active in her local church. It came as a surprise one morning when her nephew came over to visit her residence in rural Livingston Parish, Louisiana, and Barbara was nowhere to be found. A neighbor had just spoken to her over the phone, and Barbara had said she was cleaning out her kitchen cabinets. By the time her nephew had arrived for a visit, the front door was wide open, Barbara's phone was lying on the floor with the battery pulled out, her car was gone, and Barbara was missing. Besides for the unusual circumstances in the home, police didn't find any proof of forced entry. A few hours later in the late afternoon, the silver four door 2006 Toyota Camry Barbara owned was found a quarter of a mile from her home. It was found 25-30 yards off the main road and out of sight, hidden by trees. No trace of Barbara was discovered, baffling friends and family who described Barbara as a cautious individual who carried a gun when she went outside to milk the cows and didn't open the door to strangers. Waterways and woods were searched in attempt to find Barbara, but nothing was ever found.
