I’m 6ft tall ectomorph body type (long legs short torso lean looking)
I was always 11.4 stone around that really lean/small framed like a teenager and a small head size with it with clear white skin
Used to be a waiter and worked at football stadiums (which required a lot of standing and walking 3/4 days a week) so that kept me slim I’m guessing
▪️March 2020 first lockdown: I was the same as always then it got to about 4-5 months in when I noticed legs got bigger and face went puffy/blaoted. So I lost 6lbs by starving (but no exercise due to lockdown) and it didn’t change a thing
▪️ January 2021: I spent 6 weeks beforehand eating whatever I wanted in a 3 hour eating window and January came and I looked my former self again
. Also in March 2021 went to my nans funeral and ppl said ‘you haven’t aged a day in 10 years’ (was funny as I was a heavy weed smoker and a scotch drinker every night and have been for 5 years at that point) but I looked myself lean as always
▪️ July 2021: I felt different, and when I looked at myself in a reflection I’d aged 5 years since March, i gained weight looking at myself but the scale still showed the same 6lbs loss so I hadn’t gained weight or lost it)
▪️2022: stayed similar looking still but noticed my calves getting bigger but body stayed the same. So I decided to drop another 6lbs by starving mostly and some light jogging and I didn’t look any slimmer at all
(In 2019 I’d lost 6 lbs once and went very thin to the point I had to gain a little back so why hasn’t it worked this time)

 | So my 1 hour test was 139 out of 140, & they decided to call me ONE MONTH later to do the 3 hour test. I thought my first results were good because they were in the green, so I didn’t call them to confirm & they always say they’ll call me if something is wrong. I know they are short handed but it’s just not an excuse when my babies life is on the line. This is the first pregnancy where I had this kind of testing at all, because with my first, I lost my daughter at 20 weeks so I didn’t get to that point yet. I’m so pissed that they waited a whole month to call since I am high risk to begin with. I’m still waiting for my doctor to call me about these results which I obviously know are positive for GD. I’m 33 weeks today. I’m so nervous that I’m going to lose my baby girl. Please tell me it’ll be ok as long as I keep my diet in check😭😭😭 I’ve already been worried since my first daughter passed & this just doesn’t help. & infuriates me they didn’t call me for a whole month. Hey all, hope you all okay.
I had my first episode of pneumothorax a month ago on the right side. After spending a week at the hospital with a chest tube, I’ve had surgical pleurodesis, as things were too long to heal by themselves.
Everything went well, and I’ve been dispatched 3 days after surgery. I also had an appointment with a pulmonologist, and everything is perfectly fine.
However I had a few questions (that I also asked the doctor) I wanted to ask to you guys, as many of you probably went through this already.
First, since surgery, it seems like I lost some feeling on my skin. To clarify, when I touch my lower ribs region, I almost can’t feel anything, like having pins and needles, without the itching part. Do some of you felt the same? Will I be able to feel any touch sensation ever again in this area? Or will I forgot about this feeling as time goes? Doctor only said that it’s normal, but didn’t give me the full answer I was looking for.
In July, for a week there’s a music festival with heavy soundsystems that I planned to attend. There will be really loud music and basses, that will make my inner body shake a lot. I will add that I went to a concert on Saturday. I felt a bit of chest pain, but after 30 min of rest, everything went back to normal, and I can’t feel any consequences right now. However as I said, the festival will be a week long, and it’s nothing like a few hours concert. Could that cause an issue with my PT? Can the acoustic cause any trouble?
Lastly, I used to smoke joints and cigs, but now stopped. I’ve only smoked one cig in weeks, but don’t feel like doing it again. I wonder if plant vaporizing could cause any harm to my lungs. I know that combustion and smoke is really bad and will cause harm, no doubt. But there are medical devices that are used in hospitals to perform plant vaporization such as the Storz&Bickel brand. Could this be a good alternative to smoking cigs and joints?
I also heard that it’s more potent and healthier, but couldn’t find studies regarding pneumothoraxes and the use of vaporizers. Please don’t confuse plant vaporizers and classic vape, it is supposed to be hot air with no smoke.

I've had gastro issues for over 20 years. No doctor ever mentioned IBS or anything. It's only been in the last 8 years that I've asked if I have IBS. But of course, doctors said I don't. I was only officially diagnosed, last month. But, I've been taking some measures for a while to reduce my flare ups, and my new doctor told me about an OTC pill that helps. Below, is what I'm doing and it's working pretty well. But I'd love other suggestions, if y'all have any!
1st, I cut out all stimulants. Coffee, ADHD meds, caffinated tea, etc. I noticed anything that's a stimulant, makes my tummy verrrrry angry! 2nd, I cut out most lactose. I still eat cheese and sometimes ice cream. But if I use milk, creamer, or anything like that, it's either non dairy or lactose free. 3rd, I stopped drinking iced drinks. Nothing very cold. (Refrigerated drinks seem to be fine). I did this after watching Chinese dramas and kept seeing that the guys wouldn't let the girls have iced drinks because it would cause stomach cramps. So I looked it up and sure enough, it can! The reason why is still unclear, bit it's thought to be because the drink is TOO cold, so your stomach contracts in an effort to warm it up to body temp, and the contractions cause issues (like gas and bloating) later on. 4th, I started taking IBGuard. This stuff works pretty well! It's OTC and made with peppermint. (Be careful if you have acid reflux/GERD. Peppermint Han make that worse). My doctor said that peppermint has been found to help IBS symptoms. I don't take it as directed though. For me, that didn't work. I take 1 before bed and 1 in the morning when I wake up. I do this because my IBS usually flares up the the morning, sometimes before I even wake up (who needs an alarm when you have IBS??). This is working pretty well for me, most days. 5th, I started drinking spearmint tea before bed every night. This seems to help the IBGuard work better. Also, I have PCOS and spearmint helps with some PCOS symptoms. The PCOS is initially why I started drinking the tea, but then I noticed that it's helping control the IBS symptoms too! So, I drink it nightly. I was drinking it during the day, but found that it was making me sleepy, which can happen with spearmint tea. So, at night vefore bed is perfect for me! 6th, I give myself a "break" from the IBGuard and spearmint tea on the weekends (unless I have plans), so I can 'let it all out'! Lol. During the week, the cramping and bloating are more under control, but I feel like I never totally empty myself. So, this allows me to get everything our and start the new week feeling lighter. (Literally, I lose 3-5 lbs every time). 7th, per my doctor's recommendation, I eat fiber gummies every day. This help keep me "going", regularly. 8th, I've added magnesium, B12 and zinc to my daily regime. Theses are all thought to help with IBS symptoms and keeping you "regular", but there's really no evidence. But, hey, if it CAN help, I'll take it. Plus, these are all vitamins your body needs anyways. 9th, I eat within 2 hours of waking up. For some reason, my stomach doesn't like it when I miss breakfast. I can miss lunch or dinner, just fine. But breakfast is a MUST. If I don't eat within 2 hours of waking up, then I'm in a LOT of pain after I eat lunch.
I think that's all I've got for now.
Oh, I've recently learned that PCOS and IBS are linked! So If you have PCOS, you're very likely to have IBS too! YAAAAAY for having ovaries!

Our son was born the first week of July. Very close to the holiday weekend. My husband is a hospitalist at a nonteaching hospital. Last year we got in trouble because he took every summer holiday weekend off. He didn't know about Memorial Day weekend. He ended up working July 4th. And basically threatened to quit for Labor Day weekend because that's when our COVID postponed wedding reception was. His boss doesn't have a scheduling system in place at all.
This year we're avoiding all the holiday weekends. And my parents decided to throw my son a bigger birthday party at the end of July. They live 5.5 hours away. Today we find out that everyone's taking vacation that weekend. They have two people going to fellowship, one person's finishing his non-compete and going back to his specialty, someone on maternity leave, and the graduating residents aren't starting until after boards.
Every summer keeps getting worse. Our school district has a 90% attendance requirement so we have to take vacation in the summer next year on. My husband is thinking of going indepent because it's ridiculous. I really wish we had a full year school option in our district.
Is it just this job? Or are a lot of attendings in a hospital setting dealing with this?
Bonus: my mom asked why all my cousins who are residents weren't coming before I told her about my husband's schedule. I think I should tattoo "July is the worst month" on my forehead. 🫠

The historical HMS Conqueror (or rather the last iteration of her) is a fascinating ship and one that I figure would be deserving of its UR spot given its single defining achievement. But this would also be my first UR submarine (at least my first not named Alicorn which is OP even by Ace Combat standards) and with nothing to base it on, it's difficult and might actually be a bit underpowered by comparison. It is what it is I suppose.

Truly a very fun game. I'm unsure exactly how much time I spent on it, but it didn't feel like a ton. I mostly played after my wife went to sleep for a few hours. I downloaded the game on 5/29 and was finished by 6/5. They give you thirty days which, IMO, is more than plenty of time.
When I started, an event called Absolute Order had a leveling reward with three tiers (free, 9.99, and 19.99), it seemed like a beginner event for new players. I think you could have mostly gotten a character from the prizes in the 9.99 tier, but I didn't notice until the event was ending for me. However, you do straight up get a free character from finishing the list on the 19.99 offer (Flavi). I used SB to get a $50 Apple GC for any offers on this game since they are 1-1 on the payouts. I bought the 19.99 tier for Flavi and had 2000 SB pending almost immediately. You start with Ruby, so that brought me to 2 characters without a ton of work. You can get Jack pretty easily through events and offers. There seems to always be a weekly event where new objectives pop up each day of the week along with new offers, some real money, and some IGC (Diamonds). I got Jack for, I think, 2000 diamonds in the offers tab of that event. My 4th character was Boney, which you get for free from reaching level 7.
I could have gotten my last character faster, had I paid attention to the shops and progression rewards for the different game modes. Lu Bu was available in the Labyrinth Battle Pass, which was $24.99. Since the payout for getting 5 characters was 8000SB, I went ahead and bit the bullet and bought the Battle Pass. You can purchase/earn "Explorers" to progress through the Labyrinths relatively quickly. You can buy 24 per day for 300 diamonds and earn 20 from watching ads. I got through the Hard level and raided Hard until I progresses enough for Lu Bu, which took 3 or 4 days. You only progress in Labyrinth Battle Pass for completing battles in the Labyrinth, so the passive levels don't count.
There are always revolving character shards for sale in the normal store, but I didn't think it was consistent enough to be able to get the 50 shards needed for one character.
When I finished, I was on Chapter 20 Normal, Chapter 5 Hard, and Character Level 25. I rarely continue to play games that I do off on SB after I am finished with the offers, but this one is almost one I would keep playing. I really enjoyed the variety of gameplay with the abilities you get in the chapters. You could probably finish this offer by spending 19.99, get it paid back to you, and still earn 4400 SB after getting reimbursed for the 19.99 offer, or you could spend the 24.99 on the battle pass and earn 12400 SB after the 19.99 if you do it how I did it. In other words, I think this game is very profitable and easy to progress.
I'd probably say this one is a 9.5/10. If you have any other questions, feel free to drop the below. I try to respond as quickly as I can.
P.S. I found that ST Domain, Lightning Balls, and the Volcano abilities are super helpful for mobs by try to get one or two, like meteorites, that aren't proximity abilities for the chieftains so you can keep your distance.

- leveling 1-30 without sac'ing minions is more throughput than sac'ing them , as long as you're the one doing the damage ( minions are purely utility ), even though they die a lot early on it is better for them to soak up damage /threat and die while you're the one dealing the damage and then resummoning them after the fight is over ( don't waste corpses rezzing them mid fights just focus on dps).
- level range 30-70 , minions become suboptimal as you dont have paragon points or enough legendary stacking to get a proper minion build going without having them dying all the time , you also start running into issues with survivability after you step in to world tier 3, highly suggest you sac them , you can keep the golem if you choose though, it is the only minion that survives decently well on its own.
- level 70+ , you are about at the point where you should have your first paragon board filled up and if you spend the time leveling the minion glyph as high as u can you will finally have minions that don't die often and deal decent damage, although all the problems are still there: janky AI , minion run speed always lag behind you , your squishiness is now the issue rather than minions, damage outside single target feels all over the place ( literally) as you cannot control what your minions are hitting which slows u down a lot more.
And please, don't use a basic builder skill while running minion builds, just use cold mages that generate essence for u and umbral you'll never run out of essence, basic skills absolutely suck (especially decompose) and should be avoided if possible.
Now let's talk about the 3 themes of necro: blood , bone and darkness.
- Blood:

Blood lance specializes in clearing 3-5 packs of mobs, anything under or over that number will make it feel like it is undertuned and underperforming.
This build relies on PURE attack speed and should be run with a fast 1H instead of 2H, with as much AS stacked, the reason being is that you have to spam as many lances within the initial blood lance spike ( 3 sec window) , preferably 8 lances in 3 secs to guarantee the overpower, as we have multiple targets (preferably in a line) we want each consecutive blood lance to pierce through every enemy that should be lanced by the 4th cast, hence every lance after that will hit all enemies simultaneously each time it passes through a lanced target, this also works on overpower as it will overpower all of them multiple times resulting in quite a lot of burst damage towards the 3rd second.
The issues with this build though is that it is a very high APM intensive playstyle that is absolute garbage on single target and against enemies higher than the recommend lance range, as too many mobs wont let u stack lances on everything fast enough. Beware of carpal tunnel running this build.
- Bone:
Bone spear specifically is the easiest/ fastest and highest dps build for necro going from level 1-80, if you play it properly with the right aspects (umbral) you'll breeze through packs of mobs with almost no downtime, personally i'd run this build without minions as the crit/vulnerable/crit damage bonuses are too good to give up.
Bone spirit build, i see a lot of people talking about trying bone spirit cause streamers mention it all the time as the best build, and although it is the best throughput build at endgame it is very inefficient running this build under a specific endgame range, at least level 90 with properly scaled glyphs/ optimized paragons and very solid modifiers on gear with optimized stats and bis legendaries ONLY then does bone spirit become the "best" build, before that it is very lacking and often frustrating to pull off as it requires a lot of setup and bone spear is often smoother to run before that optimal endgame scenario.
- Darkness:
Overall my personal favorite theme and the most underrated path for necro, let me enlighten you so that you might see through this darkness' hidden strengths.
First, i highly recommend you enable character player highlights in the gameplay option as that will make your character glow while inside darkness clouds. This will help you see where you are and what you are doing when everything else is blind.
Darkness is a hyperscaling spec that seems weak at first but becomes a monster endgame, it's true strengths lies in the paragon node and aspects which make your dots insanely powerful the longer you are in the fight.
Darkness is the "tankiest" necro build ,even though everyone thinks blood is, the reason darkness is the tankiest is due to the damage reduction gains from DoT affected targets and the glyph, 12% from nodes and 10% stacking from the glyph's bonus , if you run without minions ( which you should) pairing this with the sac bonuses from the tree gives this path the highest damage reduction.
- Sever vs blight:
At first I tried really hard to make sever work, on paper it is meant to be used at melee range for optimal damage, as you want the mob to be hit by both the inital and final "whirl" of it's aoe, you also want to target directly behind the mob so that the spectre passes through it on the way out and back , dealing damage on both instances. Only if you do this does sever gain damage equal to that of bone spear , however it is still inferior to bone spear as it has far less vulnerability uptime and crit damage scaling, even while using the tendrils aspect.
Overall i've come to the conclusion that darkness ,being a dot scaling build , doesn't suit the crit/burst playstyle that sever offers, as such i've found that blight is the better spender even without minions.
The only instance of sever i've found to be functional was in the 1-40 level range while running full minions ( cold mages not shadow), and using sever's damage increase based on number of minions.
Still though I'd say this build is weaker than the bone spear version minion build as bone spear has perma -vulnerability uptime on everything which further boost your minions damage.
Closing thoughts ,advice and some bugs i've found while playing are :
- corpses proc'd by hewed flesh do not grant you fortify through necrotic carapace , i'm unsure whether this is a bug or intentional but i hope it is fixed to grant fortify as necro desperately need more fortify sources.
- corpses random despawn mid fight, i'm not sure if there is a max limit of # of corpses on the ground forcing newer corpses to replace older ones.
- Highly recommend using basic ability only when a specific purpose is needed for them, like reap for the guaranteed corpse for tendrils, a lot of builds do not need a spender ( especially if you're running with minions) once you acquire umbral it will solve most of your essence problems when paired with grim harvest, I see a lot of newer necros spam basics to build essence and often times over capping on it , it is a huge loss doing so.
And please for the love of whatever , stop using decompose! i cannot stress enough how bad it is, basic skills are already the weakest out of any skill we have but decompose is even worse, it forces you to stand still when you should be moving around dodging aoes etc, it only spawns a corpse AFTER 2.5 secs which is why reap is superior for corpse generation.
I feel players are blinded by the "10% minion damage" on decompose and assume its a good skill, you must know by now how random minion attacks are, they're all over the place and you cant get them to hit the same target while u decompose it. Even then you are wasting your time spamming it for minion damage when anything else you do is going to be better, having an extra skill on your bar and ditching basic skill will result in better overall performance than running decompose. It is even worse seeing people use the aspect for it , like i can't. Please do not use decompose !

Welcome back, it's Wednesday and I'll just come out and say it - that Seiko is ugly... Change my mind.
Seiko Adds Four Completely New Chronographs To The Prospex Collection And Four Limited Editions To The Presage Craftsmanship Series
In 1999 Seiko launched a limited edition they called the Sportura Kinetic Chronograph. It was a funky watch that used four subdials to display the time and chronograph functions. Just looking at it and you feel the angst of the end of the millennium and the cheesy futurism (not to be confused with neo futurism in architecture led by Norman Foster, Zaha Hadid and Santiago Calatrava) that permeated industrial design of the time - from Oakley glasses to Jnco jeans. There’s no easy way to say this, but it’s an ugly watch. I can appreciate the experiment. But come on.
However, Seiko believes that the four dial layout of the Kinetic was pleasing to the eye. That’s why they decided to recreate it in four new solar chronographs that they are adding to the Prospex collection, marking the company’s association with the World Athletics Championships to be held in Budapest, Hungary, in August. Officially called the Seiko Prospex Speedtimer Solar Chronograph, all four watches sport a new movement with the Seiko Caliber 8A50, a 1/100-second chronograph with a +/- 15-seconds per month precision rating.
The Seiko Prospex Speedtimer Solar Chronograph watch is 42mm-wide, 12.9mm-thick, and its lug-to-lug distance is 48.3mm. All four watches have the same case and bracelet design but in different executions and ever-so-slightly different prices and naming schemes. I could go on into detail about the dials and colors, but it’s all just a bit confusing. You can hop on over here if you would like to know more.
Two of the models will be limited edition of 4,000 each and two will be regular production models. The Seiko Prospex Speedtimer Solar Chronograph watch prices range from 890 Euros to 970 Euros, and all four versions will be available from July 2023. Regular readers of the newsletter will know I keep things very chipper here and don’t pass judgement. But these new Seiko’s are just baffling to me. They look like those Diesel watches you buy at the mall. Am I wrong?
Thankfully, Seiko has another announcement for today. While they have shown these watches previously, they are now starting to sell these stunning Presage Craftsmanship Series watches. Marking the 110th anniversary of its first wristwatch, the Laurel, Seiko is putting out two pairs of these limited edition pieces, with each featuring a dial made by a dedicated artisan or craft workshop through a traditional Japanese decorative technique — enamel, urushi lacquer, Arita porcelain, and shippō enamel. All four models boast a new case shape, a fresh dial aesthetic, and an in-house automatic movement. And they are now hitting the market.
And despite Seiko’s price increases for recent releases, these new editions seem to align with their predecessors. The white enamel SPB393 retails for €1,650, the brown urushi SPB395 for €2,000, the ivory Arita porcelain SPB397 for €2,000, and the blue shippō enamel SPB399 for €2,250.

Breguet Gives Us Two Redesigned Variations Of The Classic Chronograph With The Type XX And Type 20
Just the other day I linked to a great article on Type 20, the references issued by the French military in the 1950s. There were many brands who stepped up to produce these Type 20 watches, but the reference has stuck around to be synonymous with one brand in particular - Breguet. They have been making the Type 20 for years now, with occasional updates, but now Breguet is unveiling the new Type XX and Type 20 – a civilian and military-inspired take on the classic design - which is the biggest change to the line.
Despite at first glance looking like it’s two of the same watches with different dials, the Type 20 and Type XX are actually different watches. Both watches come in the same steel case that measures 42mm wide and 14.1mm thick with bidirectional steel bezels and matching lume pips. But this is pretty much where the similarities stop. The Type 20 has a military inspired dial with mint green lume and syringe hands, while the Type XX is a civilian version with a creamy yellow lume and alpha hands.
The Type 20 and Type XX both have a new self-winding movement, the Calibre 728 for the civilian version and Calibre 7281 for the military version. Each movement has a column wheel, vertical clutch, 5Hz frequency, and flyback functionality with 60 hours of power reserve, plus an inverted in-line lever escapement with a flat silicon balance spring for increased durability, longevity, and magnetic resistance.
Why two different calibers? The difference lies in dial layout and how useful it would be in military or civilian applications. On the military version, you only have two registers, with a 30-minute totalizer at three o'clock, now larger than the 60-second totalizer at nine o'clock. Meanwhile, the civilian version has a 15-minute totalizer at three o'clock, a 12-hour totalizer at six o'clock, and running seconds at nine o'clock.
This is not a cheap watch. It will run you $18,000. But it might just be one of the best vintage revivals we have seen in a year full of vintage revivals.

French Watchmaker Yema Teams Up With Alpine French Racing Team To Mark The Most French Race With Five New Watches
One of the most legendary races in the world starts on Saturday and ends on Sunday. Yes, it’s the 24 hours of Le Mans. The race is, of course, one of the most recognisable french things, alongside the croissant and hating tourists. You know what else is very french? Alpine, the legendary car manufacturer that gained it’s fame with the quirky A110 and is currently doing really well (under Renault ownership) with its successor, also called the A110. Alpine will be present at the 24h of Le Mans With their Endurance Team. If only there was a watchmaker that could join in, making it a French hat trick. There is. It’s Yema. Yema has made five new watches to mark Alpine’s stint at Le Mans - the Yema Rallygraf A470 Limited Edition and four Rallygraf Alpine Endurance Team Automatic models of which one is mechanical while the other three are powered by the Seiko VK64 meca-quartz movement.
The Yema Rallygraf A470 Limited Edition takes all the right cues from 70s racing chronographs. The stainless steel case is 39mm wide and 12mm thick without the double-domed sapphire crystal. The solid caseback shows the Alpine Endurance Team logo and the limitation of the watch. The dial is finished in a gradient-blue colour, Alpine’s signature color, with a vintage dashboard-inspired bicompax layout and Alpine’s logo on the chronograph seconds hand. Inside the watch is the Valjoux 7753 and the watch comes on an appropriate black leather rally strap with a steel pin buckle. This watch will be limited to 470 pieces and can be pre-ordered for a price of USD 2,190 with delivery expected in September 2023.

Then there’s the meca-quartz variants. All of these are also available for preorder now for EUR 399 and will be delivered in September 2023.
Yema also announced a second mechanical watch made in collaboration with Alpine, the Rallygraf Alpine Endurance Team Automatic. This will officially be unveiled this coming Saturday at the Circuit de la Sarthe, during the racing weekend of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Although we don’t know all the details at this moment, we can see it’s made of stainless steel, comes on a multi-link bracelet or black leather strap and has a black dial. The bidirectional rotating bezel can be used to calculate speeds, in combination with the inner ‘Temps Ecoule’ flange in white and blue. It is powered by the in-house Calibre YEMA2000 and will cost USD 990.

The Dan Henry 1970 44mm is back with new colours and the same, affordable price
You might know Dan Hendy as the microbrand that has been pumping out vintage inspired watches since 2016. What you might not know is that they made their name with the Dan Henry 1970 44mm Automatic Diver, the first of their watches to feature an automatic movement. While it might not seem like a big deal, it was for Dan Hanry and the shoppers in the sub $500 range. While Dan Henry serviced it’s customers by providing good value for money with quartz movements, the 1970 44mm Automatic Diver was the first time they offered a mechanical movement at such an affordable price. It sold out instantly and now, four years later, they are back with a limited edition of 1970 pieces.
It’s a very big watch. Very big. The heavy stainless steel super compressor style case measures 44mm in diameter and is 14.8mm thick with a 50.5mm lug-to-lug length. Despite these large dimensions, and with all other manufacturers fighting to go smaller, people still love this watch. They love it enough for it to go for over retail on the secondary market, which is not common for a watch in this pricepoint. Both of the crowns, one for rotating the inner-bezel and one for adjusting the time, screw into the case, giving it 200m water resistance.
The dials get a contrasting pop of color on the outskirts. There’s the black and orange, as well as the black and off-white with a black case and blue with white color combinations. Each version comes with its own colour-matching FKM rubber tropic strap. To keep the price low, the watches are powered by the Seiko NH35. Not the best movement in the world, but it gets the job done for an exceptionally low price.
The new Dan Henry 1970 44mm Automatic Diver is limited to 1,970 pieces, available from Dan Henry and costs $310.

Bamford Teams Up With Land Rover For The LR002 Limited Edition
Somehere near the end of last year, Land Rover designed their first watch. They called it the LR001 and they turned to Bamford to put the watch into production. It was a great looking field watch made of titanium and all in shades of grey, with a decent price and limited to 100 pieces so they all sold out very fast. Now, Bamford London and Land Rover are bringing it back with an updated, equally limited, version in all black called the LR002.
The LR002 is pretty much the same watch as the LR001, except for the color. While not a fan of black watches, this isn’t a bad thing, as it gives you a chance to buy the sold out Land Rover watch. What is bad is the price, but more on that later. The case measures 40mm wide and 13.25mm thick, and is made out of DLC coated titanium. It has a shape that resembles a field watch but much more modern and has fixed bars. From photos, due to the thick case and fixed bars, this watch looks to wear much larger than it actually is.
The dial seems to be much more interesting than the case. It has a sandwich construction with the top part having a matte black surface and the underside being filled with white lume. And by alternating circular and oblong cutouts, there’s a dynamic look to the dial. Inside the watch is the same movement as in the LR001, the Selita SW200-1B, and it’s delivered on a leather NATO-style bracelet.
The LR002 will have a run of just 100 pieces that are exclusively sold through Hodinkee. At the time of writing there are still pieces available for sale at a price of $1,700. And that’s the biggest issue. The LR001 sold for about $1,300 and the only difference between the two watches is the DLC coating. Is it worth the price difference?

The Casio A120 Is The Best Pairing For Stranger Things, But Do We Need It?
The immense popularity of Stranger Thing undoubtedly lies in it’s 80s nostalgia that reminded us all of our childhoods. While playing to our good memories, it also roped in new generations by picking the best the decade had to offer and presenting it as something cool. That’s why you have a bunch of kids out there listening to Kate Bush and Metallica, while wearing Casio watches and buying VHS tapes. So it only makes perfect sense that Casio would team up with Stranger Things for a limited edition watch, and what better reference to do it with then the A120. This is the Casio x Stranger Things A120WEST-1A.
The watch is a classic Casio A120, with a 33.5mm x 40.7mm rectangle case and since it’s plastic it weighs only 25 grams. It’s not filled with a bunch of functions, but it does have a chronograph, alarm and calendar and you get three years of battery life. There’s a number of Stranger Things references on the watch - there’s a silhouette of the series’ demogorgon monster beneath the digital display and the LED backlight flickers and rapidly blinks just like the surfacing of a demogorgon in the show. Once lit, you can see the watermark of an upside down Stranger Things logo.
Casio has not announced when the watch will be available or how much it will cost, but you can keep an eye out on it here. Is this a nice homage to a good TV show, or just another example of over-consumerism and corporate media properties slapping their name everywhere, without actually making a meaningfully authentic version of the watch?

Great dials are always appreciated, but no matter how good the dial is, it doesn’t matter if the watch isn’t wearable. The excellent design choices found on the dial of the Heartlander follow through to the case. Crafted from stainless steel the 38mm-wide case has a lovely 46mm lug-to-lug distance and is only 11.2mm-thick from solid steel caseback to domed sapphire crystal. These dimensions are in the Goldilocks region for an everyday watch for me and my ~6.5-inch wrist. The cases are predominantly brushed except for a thin highly polished bevel that flanks each side of the lugs.

1/Seiko Adds Four Completely New Chronographs To The Prospex Collection And Four Limited Editions To The Presage Craftsmanship Series
In 1999 Seiko launched a limited edition they called the Sportura Kinetic Chronograph. It was a funky watch that used four subdials to display the time and chronograph functions. Just looking at it and you feel the angst of the end of the millennium and the cheesy futurism (not to be confused with neo futurism in architecture led by Norman Foster, Zaha Hadid and Santiago Calatrava) that permeated industrial design of the time - from Oakley glasses to Jnco jeans. There’s no easy way to say this, but it’s an ugly watch. I can appreciate the experiment. But come on.
However, Seiko believes that the four dial layout of the Kinetic was pleasing to the eye. That’s why they decided to recreate it in four new solar chronographs that they are adding to the Prospex collection, marking the company’s association with the World Athletics Championships to be held in Budapest, Hungary, in August. Officially called the Seiko Prospex Speedtimer Solar Chronograph, all four watches sport a new movement with the Seiko Caliber 8A50, a 1/100-second chronograph with a +/- 15-seconds per month precision rating.
The Seiko Prospex Speedtimer Solar Chronograph watch is 42mm-wide, 12.9mm-thick, and its lug-to-lug distance is 48.3mm. All four watches have the same case and bracelet design but in different executions and ever-so-slightly different prices and naming schemes. I could go on into detail about the dials and colors, but it’s all just a bit confusing. You can hop on over here if you would like to know more.
Two of the models will be limited edition of 4,000 each and two will be regular production models. The Seiko Prospex Speedtimer Solar Chronograph watch prices range from 890 Euros to 970 Euros, and all four versions will be available from July 2023. Regular readers of the newsletter will know I keep things very chipper here and don’t pass judgement. But these new Seiko’s are just baffling to me. They look like those Diesel watches you buy at the mall. Am I wrong?
Thankfully, Seiko has another announcement for today. While they have shown these watches previously, they are now starting to sell these stunning Presage Craftsmanship Series watches. Marking the 110th anniversary of its first wristwatch, the Laurel, Seiko is putting out two pairs of these limited edition pieces, with each featuring a dial made by a dedicated artisan or craft workshop through a traditional Japanese decorative technique — enamel, urushi lacquer, Arita porcelain, and shippō enamel. All four models boast a new case shape, a fresh dial aesthetic, and an in-house automatic movement. And they are now hitting the market.
And despite Seiko’s price increases for recent releases, these new editions seem to align with their predecessors. The white enamel SPB393 retails for €1,650, the brown urushi SPB395 for €2,000, the ivory Arita porcelain SPB397 for €2,000, and the blue shippō enamel SPB399 for €2,250.

Breguet Gives Us Two Redesigned Variations Of The Classic Chronograph With The Type XX And Type 20
Just the other day I linked to a great article on Type 20, the references issued by the French military in the 1950s. There were many brands who stepped up to produce these Type 20 watches, but the reference has stuck around to be synonymous with one brand in particular - Breguet. They have been making the Type 20 for years now, with occasional updates, but now Breguet is unveiling the new Type XX and Type 20 – a civilian and military-inspired take on the classic design - which is the biggest change to the line.
Despite at first glance looking like it’s two of the same watches with different dials, the Type 20 and Type XX are actually different watches. Both watches come in the same steel case that measures 42mm wide and 14.1mm thick with bidirectional steel bezels and matching lume pips. But this is pretty much where the similarities stop. The Type 20 has a military inspired dial with mint green lume and syringe hands, while the Type XX is a civilian version with a creamy yellow lume and alpha hands.
The Type 20 and Type XX both have a new self-winding movement, the Calibre 728 for the civilian version and Calibre 7281 for the military version. Each movement has a column wheel, vertical clutch, 5Hz frequency, and flyback functionality with 60 hours of power reserve, plus an inverted in-line lever escapement with a flat silicon balance spring for increased durability, longevity, and magnetic resistance.
Why two different calibers? The difference lies in dial layout and how useful it would be in military or civilian applications. On the military version, you only have two registers, with a 30-minute totalizer at three o'clock, now larger than the 60-second totalizer at nine o'clock. Meanwhile, the civilian version has a 15-minute totalizer at three o'clock, a 12-hour totalizer at six o'clock, and running seconds at nine o'clock.
This is not a cheap watch. It will run you $18,000. But it might just be one of the best vintage revivals we have seen in a year full of vintage revivals.

French Watchmaker Yema Teams Up With Alpine French Racing Team To Mark The Most French Race With Five New Watches
One of the most legendary races in the world starts on Saturday and ends on Sunday. Yes, it’s the 24 hours of Le Mans. The race is, of course, one of the most recognisable french things, alongside the croissant and hating tourists. You know what else is very french? Alpine, the legendary car manufacturer that gained it’s fame with the quirky A110 and is currently doing really well (under Renault ownership) with its successor, also called the A110. Alpine will be present at the 24h of Le Mans With their Endurance Team. If only there was a watchmaker that could join in, making it a French hat trick. There is. It’s Yema. Yema has made five new watches to mark Alpine’s stint at Le Mans - the Yema Rallygraf A470 Limited Edition and four Rallygraf Alpine Endurance Team Automatic models of which one is mechanical while the other three are powered by the Seiko VK64 meca-quartz movement.
The Yema Rallygraf A470 Limited Edition takes all the right cues from 70s racing chronographs. The stainless steel case is 39mm wide and 12mm thick without the double-domed sapphire crystal. The solid caseback shows the Alpine Endurance Team logo and the limitation of the watch. The dial is finished in a gradient-blue colour, Alpine’s signature color, with a vintage dashboard-inspired bicompax layout and Alpine’s logo on the chronograph seconds hand. Inside the watch is the Valjoux 7753 and the watch comes on an appropriate black leather rally strap with a steel pin buckle. This watch will be limited to 470 pieces and can be pre-ordered for a price of USD 2,190 with delivery expected in September 2023.

Then there’s the meca-quartz variants. They take the same case as the Rallygraf and give it three variations - white dial with a blue outside minute track, a cream dial with a black outside minute track or a black dial with a cream outside minute track. All of these are also available for preorder now for EUR 399 and will be delivered in September 2023.
Yema also announced a second mechanical watch made in collaboration with Alpine, the Rallygraf Alpine Endurance Team Automatic. This will officially be unveiled this coming Saturday at the Circuit de la Sarthe, during the racing weekend of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Although we don’t know all the details at this moment, we can see it’s made of stainless steel, comes on a multi-link bracelet or black leather strap and has a black dial. The bidirectional rotating bezel can be used to calculate speeds, in combination with the inner ‘Temps Ecoule’ flange in white and blue. It is powered by the in-house Calibre YEMA2000 and will cost USD 990.

The Dan Henry 1970 44mm is back with new colours and the same, affordable price
You might know Dan Hendy as the microbrand that has been pumping out vintage inspired watches since 2016. What you might not know is that they made their name with the Dan Henry 1970 44mm Automatic Diver, the first of their watches to feature an automatic movement. While it might not seem like a big deal, it was for Dan Hanry and the shoppers in the sub $500 range. While Dan Henry serviced it’s customers by providing good value for money with quartz movements, the 1970 44mm Automatic Diver was the first time they offered a mechanical movement at such an affordable price. It sold out instantly and now, four years later, they are back with a limited edition of 1970 pieces.
It’s a very big watch. Very big. The heavy stainless steel super compressor style case measures 44mm in diameter and is 14.8mm thick with a 50.5mm lug-to-lug length. Despite these large dimensions, and with all other manufacturers fighting to go smaller, people still love this watch. They love it enough for it to go for over retail on the secondary market, which is not common for a watch in this pricepoint. Both of the crowns, one for rotating the inner-bezel and one for adjusting the time, screw into the case, giving it 200m water resistance.
The dials get a contrasting pop of color on the outskirts. There’s the black and orange, as well as the black and off-white with a black case and blue with white color combinations. Each version comes with its own colour-matching FKM rubber tropic strap. To keep the price low, the watches are powered by the Seiko NH35. Not the best movement in the world, but it gets the job done for an exceptionally low price.
The new Dan Henry 1970 44mm Automatic Diver is limited to 1,970 pieces, available from Dan Henry and costs $310.

Bamford Teams Up With Land Rover For The LR002 Limited Edition
Somehere near the end of last year, Land Rover designed their first watch. They called it the LR001 and they turned to Bamford to put the watch into production. It was a great looking field watch made of titanium and all in shades of grey, with a decent price and limited to 100 pieces so they all sold out very fast. Now, Bamford London and Land Rover are bringing it back with an updated, equally limited, version in all black called the LR002.
The LR002 is pretty much the same watch as the LR001, except for the color. While not a fan of black watches, this isn’t a bad thing, as it gives you a chance to buy the sold out Land Rover watch. What is bad is the price, but more on that later. The case measures 40mm wide and 13.25mm thick, and is made out of DLC coated titanium. It has a shape that resembles a field watch but much more modern and has fixed bars. From photos, due to the thick case and fixed bars, this watch looks to wear much larger than it actually is.
The dial seems to be much more interesting than the case. It has a sandwich construction with the top part having a matte black surface and the underside being filled with white lume. And by alternating circular and oblong cutouts, there’s a dynamic look to the dial. Inside the watch is the same movement as in the LR001, the Selita SW200-1B, and it’s delivered on a leather NATO-style bracelet.
The LR002 will have a run of just 100 pieces that are exclusively sold through Hodinkee. At the time of writing there are still pieces available for sale at a price of $1,700. And that’s the biggest issue. The LR001 sold for about $1,300 and the only difference between the two watches is the DLC coating. Is it worth the price difference?

- New content day! New EQ and SQ drops at the usual time. Read about rewards and details here, but basically EQ is the same as always and SQ will be a limited entry event using keys you gather from completing spider-related objectives.
- New BG meta for Gladiator Circuit drops today too. This is week 3, meaning we've got 2 more weeks of this season. Read about the meta nodes here.
- Cassie Lang and Future Ant Man aren't receiving any tune ups or downs, except Kabam is treating some bug fixes as a tune up such that they won't be doing an old champion buff (spoiler alert: LB thinks that's stupid). Details here. Buff schedule going forward: Shuri and Attuma buffs went live with the June patch, Mantis buff comes in July, Abs Man tune "down" (reducing regen when he's not 100% health at start of fight) comes in August, and the FAM "buff" will be in September.
- A big ol' ban wave rolled out last night. Kabam smacked arena botters and BG modders with 7-day or permanent bans. A lot of big account names were hit (like over half of TCN are banned right now). Read details here. LB editorial: good work Kabam, cheaters can get fucked.
- AW season lasts one more week. Last war had a host of bugs, so Kabam won't apply points from that war to season total (the W or L will still affect your war rating, which affects which tier you're in, but it won't affect your final season placement score, which relies solely on points). To fix it, Kabam is going to bump up each alliance's season rewards up a level, so Gold 1 placement will receive Platinum 4 rewards, P2 gets P1, etc. Details here. Because this adjustment takes time, AW season rewards will be delayed by about a week.
- Kabam is running a vote on which champs should be in the first 7* Titan crystal. They already messed up by including BWCV when she shouldn't have been an option. It's on Twitter if you want to participate, they're releasing new polls over the next few days/weeks.
- Mod hat on for Subreddit announcement we will be shutting down the sub starting June 12 to protest Reddit's decision to kill 3rd party apps. Details of what's happening and why it's bad are here, but basically Reddit's official mobile app is dogshit and they're going to start preventing other apps from accessing the site. It affects a ton of people, including the mods who keep the sub tuned up. So we're going to join the boycott by making the sub private. Feel free to express your opinion on this important matter in the comments or the linked post.

Season One ended in the 3rd week of April at Game #267 We’ve seen players come and go like the passing's of time, immemorial, yet many have stayed true To the game; knowing their one salvation for the day would be to win a pinecone, and all of the glory that comes with it. What started out as an elaborate game to pass the time, with charts, graphs, and beautiful artwork, has devolved into a spectacular match of Luck, Chance, Skill, and one guy with a actual DeLorean Time Machine. Does anyone’s toddlers go to bed after 8pm? My son is 18 months and I have been putting him to bed at 7-7:30pm at the advice of his doctor, but he’s waking between 5-5:30am. His daycare nap will be at 12:45pm, so this just doesn’t work for us.
He’s never been an 11 hour a night sleeper, so I’m thinking it’s asking too much. What time does your toddler go to bed? He starts daycare on July 1 so I’m hoping to get him adjusted to their 12:45pm nap time before then, but these early wake ups make it impossible.
