So here is my journey:
I bought an Ender 3 v2. Good times.
I did the new springs, new extruder, magnetic bed, no problems.
I was trying to use a Fiberpunk Node to be able to print wirelessly, and I somehow borked up the firmware and the SD slot stopped working. USB direct connect was fine, so I did that for a while. The trouble is that it was connected to my power hungry gaming rig.
So I bought a BIGTREETECH SKR Mini E3 V3.0 and installed it. At the same time I also installed a Creality runout sensor and a Spider 4 hotend. I connected everything correctly as far as I can tell and got the marlin firmware from the BigTree site, flashed the firmware (making sure to rename the file to firmware.bin). It seemed to work because it renames the file on the SD card. The screen powers on but does not display anything, and Cura does not detect the printer at all when connected to my PC.
I did try flashing the dwin_set marlin file on the SD reader on the back of the screen, but either I did it wrong, or it just didn't work.
I have really been enjoying this hobby and love the DIY aspect of the printer I have, but I am at a loss here. Any suggestions that you all have would be greatly appreciated.

I am having issues with getting klipper running on a BTT manta m4p v2.2 with a CB1 board. I go through the guided process and video guides, and everything works well up until the point I am supposed to run ls /dev/serial/by-id/* . Every time I run it I get "no file or directory exist."
I have used the flash BTT provided as well as using the makemenu process to make my own. I have checked the SD card after and it is turning the bin files into a cue file, so it looks to be taking the firmware flash. My version of mainsail and such are from before the current bug that causes a similar issue, but I have tried the fix related to that just to be on the safe side.
The issue is with the USB C slot supplying power and plugged into my PC but the videos were all doing the same also. I am honestly at a loss as to what the issue could be at this point. Any help would be really appreciated.

I am finally getting a new rig and excited to be able to play one of these packs. I had set my sights on the lost legacy pack but i read yesterday it adds... guns. I want a pack that will stay roughly within the confines of canon.
I dont really care about updated graphics. Id rather have everything running smooth but im sure my 3070 card will be able to handle a bit more than vanilla in graphics.
Id want more content, the most stable without crashes ideally:
More lands, more dungeons, more quests, more items, more spells. A couple of nice housing mods with quests would be great as well. I enjoyed clockwork. Im ok with survival as long as it doesnt dominate my playthrough. Something like trade and barter (or the mod itself) would be nice.
Especially would like magic to be expanded but apocalypse was good enough, a bit more than that would be great.

throwaway because iâm too embarrassed to post this on my main. i (18F) just got scammed so bad and i feel awful. while i was driving on my way to work⌠i got an email from my âbossâ asking for my phone number. i didnt anything of it since i was driving and responded. then i got a texts from her asking for $800 worth of gift cards to surprise the office. they kept asking for more and more and eventually i ended up spending $1300 before realizing something was wrong. it wasnât even me who caught it. i was ranting to my cousin who also works here and is dating the boss about it⌠and she realized something was up and this no longer sounded like my boss. luckily everything is taken care of an theyâre gonna pay me back the money, but i just feel like such a burden and a fucking idiot. my boss is rough and the work she gives me can be rough, so i didnât even question anything. and everything added up, i know my boss had a second phone and this could be her, she does like to give gifts to her employees, and she would make people do errands like this. but now that im looking back at everything, this was so obviously a scam. id like to think if i wasnt driving nor âthe new internâ i wouldve thought about it a little more. but i probably wouldnât have. im such an idiot for not seeing the signs and being so eager to please. i dont deserve to be helped by my company. i dont deserve this internship. everyone has such high expectations of me because im âsmartâ and go to a good school but im dumb enough to fall for this scam. im typing this sobbing in the company bathroom because i feel so humiliated right now. i dont know how i can show my face again to my boss after revealing how dumb and useless i actually am. if anyone actually reads this, please dont be like me and actually second guess things. i used to laugh at my friends for falling for this stuff and look where im at. im so embarrassed and im so so fucking stupid. sorry if anyone actually read this but this just happened and i cant vent to anyone else because im so humiliated and dont wanna cause any more problems for anyone else. im so sorry

I am still struggling on how to capture the pretty holo effects, especially the swirls on a few of these. Golbat, Blastoise, Gengar and the other language Vaporeon have pretty swirling. (Not a clue on if the other language cards are real as they came from a different sibling than most of my cards)
Ive been heavily lurking in a lot of pokemon /subs, and actually plan on trying to sell/trade ones im not as clingy to in order to collect specific pokemon. Some say im crazy, but hay, if someone else could enjoy them more, they're just sitting in a binder stashed away. And the two pokemon I loved the most I dont have any cards of (Petty siblings).
Very few are in NM condition though, as they are all hand-me-downs from my siblings that actually played the game pretty often. Id guess HP to LP with maybe two or three closer to NM, but im not the greatest at telling that yet.

It's been a year since i've been together with someone that makes me genuinely happy. Scratch that, i am happy. I'm proud of who i am, i'm surrounded by people i love, i learned how to acknowledge the good around me and to give to everyone the love that i know they deserve, and this person came at the right time.
So as you do with a person you are very intimate with, you talk about your "Dumb little scrapbooks". And it hit me. It's been years since i've seen that folder, where is it now ? So i try to remember. I use to have it somewhere on my pc, on a hard drive, it never was far away from me. I remember copying the folder on Usb Drives when i had to clean up my pc, i remember quite clearly making a copy "Just to be sure".
But i've moved so much over those last years. I've lost shit. I asked my dad, my mom, my siblings who inherited my first pcs. None of them seem to have seen anything. They always tell me they'll call me if it appears somewhere, but in my heart in know that... More than surely i forgot to copy it once, and deleted it.
Today, once again, i ransacked my appartment, hoping to see the little blue drive where in KNOW it use to be, but alas, no drive, no usb, no sd card, no cloud contains the precious folder.
I was on the verge of tears, as everytime i think about it. I even did that thing where you look up at the sky and swear that you'll be a believer if only i would find it. I remembered my grandma who called upon Saint-Antoine and it always seemed to work. How lucky.
I always try to make myself feel better. I still have the memories. I really don't want to dwell to long in those times of my life anyway. It was really cringe at best.
But everytime one idea stays with me and will always hurt a little :
I use to resent not having photos of me and friends, hell i use to think i had no real friend. This folder could have proven me wrong if only i had stopped to give it one attentive look.

2023.05.30 22:05 Communication_Front After i changed my Graphic Card my microphone started to do weird things.
I changed my old graphics card to a new RTX 3080. After this, my microphone (Razer Seiren Emote) started doing something really weird. It suddenly turns off for a microsecond (like he loses power from cable) and after he turns it on again the audio results like ultra high pitched and sped up, dunno how to explain this since it's really weird. Sorry for the possible bad English, I'm from Italy, if someone can help me I'd be very grateful.

I've never had a job or taxable income until now. I just graduated college and am only now seeking employment in my field. My parents have never filed taxes either because they're exempt due to their occupation.
I'm sort of confused by this question. I feel like this question is mainly concerned with individuals who were obligated to file taxes due to having income, but neglected their duty to do so.

So, while I was playing Satisfactory on Steam two weeks ago, my computer crashed to the desktop. In response, I figured I'd check that my Graphics Driver was up to date, and, as it happened, it needed to be updated (something like going from 24.10.1 to 24.10.4), which I did. No issues on the install, but it instructed me to finish my installation by restarting the computer. No problem. So I restart, but when the computer powers back on, I have absolutely no video signal to my monitors. No loading wheel, no BIOS flash, no indications of video signal at all. I've tried most everything I can think of, and it seems like most of the stock Windows troubleshooting is useless. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Here is a list of my attempted solutions:
Power cycled several times
Removed and reinstalled my CMOS battery
Shorted my CMOS Reset
Pulled the original GPU
Installed an old graphics card & connected video cables
Reinstalled the original GPU (I put it back in the original slot, I didn't put it in a different slot)
Tried all 3 of my graphics outs on the GPU, and the HDMI out on the mobo, to multiple monitors
Unplugged all nonessential USB devices
Plugged in a bootable USB Stick to try to do a fresh Windows install
Additional Diagnostic information:
All of my lights in the case power on, my case, CPU and GPU fans spin up, and my keyboard RGB's come on, but the keyboard doesn't respond to anything (ex. pressing Num Lock doesn't light the NUM LOCK light)
I had a similar problem happen about 2 years ago, where I also lost all video. However, it just randomly resolved itself 4 days later, so I don't know what the solution to it was.

My partner and I live about 8 hours apart from each other, so unfortunately we are long distance. We play a lot of video games together and he has a beyond awful temper. Im talking really big bad outbursts where he says awful things and triggers a lot of my PTSD, as well as made the rest of our group want to be no where near him when he was online. He told me that this specific clinic give a summary of the session as a printout at the end of every session so he would show me that.

He doesnt have a printer at home so he said he would go to the public library. Im mostly unsure on what mobo and psu i should get. Id like wifi and if not too much more something with an encoder as my son may want to stream when he visits (which is much less often now that hes 15 and lacrosse season turns right into football). Its been awhile since ive built a pc and had some help then but i thought this could be a good thing to do with him and as I have surgery coming up I will be out of work for up to 3 months and want to dive into some coding classes finally and maybe some beginner modeling. This is the third part of my series featuring the adventures of Vr'ocria and Human Aldrick. Parts one and two are linked below, along with summaries if you don't care to read the whole thing and just want to jump right in :)
Part One: Alien learns what "sleep" is and how humans prefer to do it in a comfy bed with blankets and pillows. And they find it utterly adorable.
Vr'ocria and Human Aldrick are sent on a survey mission together. Things go south, Aldrick makes sure they're safe, and then Vr'ocria learns what human sleep is and how vulnerable humans are when they sleep. Vr'ocria's people don't sleep, but enter stasis, a form of rest in which they typically stand, and they are still slightly aware of their surroundings. Vr'ocria finds human sleep utterly adorable, and also decides she will protect Aldrick while he sleeps. And she also develops a massive crush on him. (Her scales turning purple is her version of blushing)
Part Two: An alien + human adventure with such shenanigans as poison drinking, befriending dangerous wildlife, and fighting a space pirate. Oh, and they have a huge crush on each other.
Vr'ocria and Human Aldrick end up assigned together for another survey mission. Vr'ocria tries to deny her feelings for Aldrick after a tense conversation with her nestmate about the danger of humans, but when they're ambushed in the night by a pirate and Aldrick takes a blow to save her, becoming injured in the process, she comes to realize just how strongly she feels for him. She carries him to safety and the two share a tender moment, but nothing yet happens between them.
Now, on to the story!

Planet Gamma-5 was cold. Very cold. Vr'ocria had heard about snow, but she'd never seen it before. She might've thought the glowing, snowy landscape was beautiful if she wasn't so blasted cold.
A shock of icy wind blew her hood off her head, and she yanked it back on with a huff of frustration. She was not built for the cold, and her heated suit only did so much to keep her warm.
"Still doing okay?" A familiar voice carried from across the frozen river.
Vr'ocria turned towards the voice to see her favorite human, Aldrick, perched on a snow-covered boulder on the opposite side of the river. A bundle of warmth that had nothing to do with the heated suit burst at her spine. He knew about her cold-blooded nature, and ever since landing, he was constantly checking in on her.
"I think I'm done for the day," she shouted back.
Aldrick climbed down from the boulder and approached the edge of the river.
"You're not about to try to cross the ice, are you?" Vr'ocria called quickly. "It looks thin!"
"I don't want to walk all the way back down!" He shoved his scanner into his coat pocket. "Don't worry, I got this."
Vr'ocria ran to the edge of the ice, her scales standing on end inside her suit as she watched himâŚlay down?
Rather than step foot on the ice, Aldrick laid down on his stomach, and began scooting and sliding himself across the river. Despite how thin it was, the ice didn't crack once.
Vr'ocria crouched and held out her gloved hand when he was close, and helped pull him onto the bank. "Thanks," he grinned as he climbed to his feet.
She was still staring at the uncracked ice. "How did you�"
"Weight distribution," he explained. "It's how polar bears on Earth cross thin ice."
Polar bears? Vr'ocria decided she didn't want to ask about what was surely some terrifying Earth creature.
Aldrick was looking her up and down as he spoke, taking in her miserable expression and how she clutched at her suit. "Let's get you inside."
Vr'ocria didn't argue. The two of them made the trek back to their cabin, provided courtesy of the survey department. A wall of heat washed over them as they entered, and she collapsed into a kitchen chair with a huff. The cabin was small, but leagues better than the tiny shuttle pod from their last survey mission. There was a kitchen/living area, a waste room, and resting quarters with both a bed for Aldrick and a stasis chamber for herself.
Not that she planned to use it. She never took stasis inside a chamber when she was with Aldrick. She knew how vulnerable humans were when they slept, and so she swore she would protect him, since her people were still slightly aware while they rested in stasis. Whenever Aldrick slept, she always stood by himâtypically between him and the doorâand entered stasis there, ready to jump into action if anything happened.
It had already saved them once.
Once she caught her breath, Vr'ocria switched off the heating mechanism in her suit and tugged it off. She shivered in her undergarments for all of two seconds before Aldrick was wrapping a heated blanket around her and ushering her to the sofa, pushing a mug of warm broth into her hands at the same time.
Sinking into the cushions, she blinked down at the broth. "When did you make this? We just got back."
"I put it on the stove and had it simmering since we arrived to the planet this morning. I figured you would need it." He pulled the blanket tighter around her, a glower cast over his features. "They never should've assigned you to this planet. They know you're cold-blooded."
Vr'ocria smiled. She couldn't help it.
Aldrick fussed over her a bit longer than he needed to. When she finally assured him she was fine, he rose and grabbed his communicator. "I need to make a quick call. Yell if you need anything."
She hummed in acknowledgement, her breath rippling over the broth as she took a sip. Aldrick disappeared into the resting quarters, shutting the door behind him.
Vr'ocria was still enjoying her broth when Aldrick's voice carried through the closed door. "I don't care if it's her job! Doing her job doesn't mean she should suffer and potentially die!"
She jerked her head up to stare towards the door. Slowly, she put the mug down and rose to her feet, still clutching the blanket around her shoulders, and crept closer.
"Command knows her biology isn't built for this weather. She's reptilian, she could die!"
Vr'ocria didn't think she'd ever heard him so angry before.
"I don't want to hear itâŚThat heated suit is only meant for short term, if she wears it too long it could burn her âŚI don't care if I'm out of line! ...Dismiss me, I don't care! But don't you dare, ever, assign her to a tundra planet again," his voice dropped to a growl, "or you'll find out just how dangerous humans can be."
There was the click of a communicator shutting off, and the door opened faster than Vr'ocria could run back to the sofa. Aldrick looked startled to see her standing there. He turned pink. "OhâŚs-sorry, how much of that did you hear?"
Vr'ocria just looked at him. "Was that about me?" She asked in a very small voice.
Aldrick's throat bobbed as he swallowed. "Um, yeahâŚ" he kept his eyes trained on the floor. "I'm sorry, I hope I didn't offend you, o-or scare you or anythingâI just hate seeing you suffer, and Command never should've done that, and I swear I'm not actually gonna hurt anyone, just maybe pull some strings and make some reports andâ" he was babbling now, and Vr'ocria placed a hand on his shoulder. He froze, eyes snapping up to meet her gaze.
She smiled, her scales flushing pink. "Thank you for fighting for me."
The tension seemed to drain out of his body and a tender expression crossed his face. He opened his mouth, but before he could speak, a mechanical whoosh filled the cabin, and the lights went off. A second later, emergency lights flicked on with a click.
"Oh, you're fucking joking," Aldrick moaned, slapping a hand over his eyes.
Vr'ocria glanced around in confusion, tucking her hand back in the blanket. "What knocked the power out? Did it start storming outside?" With the main heater gone, she could already feel the creep of cold prodding at her scales.
Aldrick walked over to the door and peered out the tiny window, the only one in the cabin. "Yep," he confirmed. "There's a blizzard out there. Shit."
If she listened, Vr'ocria realized she could hear the howl of wind slamming against the walls. Thank the planets for a sturdy structure. If only the power main was as durable.
Aldrick gave a resigned sigh. "Well, we still have emergency power. It'll keep us alive, although maybe not very comfortable."
"That's for sure," Vr'ocria muttered, shivering.
Aldrick watched her for a moment, chewing his lip in thought. Abruptly, he grabbed her hand and began leading her into the resting quarters.
"What are you doing?" She asked.
"We need to keep you warm." Without warning, he stripped off his clothes until he was only in his undergarments, and her scales burned purple.
"Seriously, what are you doing?"
Rather than answer, he pulled back the thick coverings on the bed and crawled underneath. Once lying down, he held the covers up and looked at her expectantly. "Get in."
She stared at him. "W-what?"
"Get in. If you wear that heated blanket too long it might burn you. I won't."
Vr'ocria finally understood what he was implying. "AreâwellâI've never laid in a bed before," she stuttered weakly.
He smiled warmly. "First time for everything."
Vr'ocria hesitated a moment longer before she finally dropped her blanket and clumsily climbed into bed next to Aldrick.
She sucked in a breath when he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her to his bare chest.
Oh planets, he was warm.
Vr'ocria melted instantly, nudging her nose against his collarbone as he tucked the covers around her. Already, the blankets were trapping his body heat around the two of them. The mattress was soft under their bodies, dipping underneath their weight so that they were pressed even closer to each other.
Once he seemed satisfied with the covers, Aldrick's hands landed carefully on her back. He began rubbing gentle circles into her scales, and Vr'ocria sighed at how nice it felt. She'd never felt so warm and safe and lovâ
Her thoughts stuttered to a halt.
"You're pink again," Aldrick murmured against the top of her head. "I've been seeing that color on you a lot lately. You still haven't told me what it means."
Vr'ocria squeezed her eyes shut and a groan escaped her. Aldrick pulled back enough to see her face to face. "Hey," he said softly, "what is it?"
"Iâ" Her voice cracked, and the pink faded to a dull red as grief washed over her. It didn't escape his notice.
"Vr'ocria, what's going on? You can tell me."
"I have a confession," she finally croaked out. "And I understand if you're angry with me."
Aldrick frowned and cocked his head.
"My peopleâŚ" she forced herself to take a steadying breath. "My people turn pink when we feel particularly strongâŚemotions...for someoneâŚand when we've formed a mating bond with them."
Aldrick furrowed his brow. "I'm not sure I understandâŚ"
Blast, he's gonna make me say it.
"I've formed a mating bond with you," she blurted out. "I swear I didn't mean to, I wasn't trying, and I swear it doesn't have any psychological or physiological effect on you, just me, andâ"
"You're in love with me?"
Vr'ocria's words died in her throat and she looked into Aldrick's eyes. His beautiful, brown, soulful eyes.
"Yes," she whispered.
She braced herself for him to shove her away.
So she was shocked when he yanked her forward to bury his head in the crook of her neck, a hysterical laugh bubbling from his chest. "Oh, Jesus woman, I thought you were allergic to me or something." She could feel his gasping breaths against her scales. "I was so afraid you wanted to leave me."
"YouâŚyou're not angry?"
He pulled back to look into her eyes again, taking her face in his blessedly warm hands. "No," he whispered. "Never. Because I also have a confession." His fingers trembled where they rested on her jaw. "I think I'm in love with you too."
All at once, her scales burst into vivid pink, different shades of light and dark rippling through them. "Really?" She said it so quietly that he wouldn't have heard her if they weren't inches from each other.
"Yes," he breathed.
For a long moment they just gazed into one another's other's eyes, drinking each other in.
It was Aldrick who finally broke the silence. "Do you know what a kiss is?"
Vr'ocria shook her head.
"It's a human sign of deep affection." His voice was low and husky. "We typically only do it with those we love very much." He traced her cheek with his thumb. "I'd very much like to kiss you right nowâŚif you're okay with it?"
He loves me? He loves me, he loves meâŚ!
She couldn't get the stupid grin off her face. "Okay." She didn't know what to expect, but somehow that made it more exciting.
Aldrick tilted his chin up, and gently, gently, pressed his lips to her forehead. They were soft and warm. "How was that?"
Vr'ocria's blood rushed through her veins faster than the Aegryan rivers. "Maybe you should do it again."
He smiled. He leaned closer, and she closed her eyes. His lips brushed against her eyelid.
"Again," she sighed. Her eyes stayed closed.
His lips trailed down her cheek, stopping to press against her jaw.
"Again." By now her voice was a barely audible whisper.
His breath was hot against her scales as his lips drifted once more until she felt him hovering just above her own mouth. He stopped, trembling, and she realized he was waiting for permission.
Hesitantly, she placed her hand on the back of his neck, her fingers carding up his nape into his hair. Guided by an instinct that felt both foreign and familiar, she pulled him closer, and their lips collided.
Kissing was soâŚalien.
But at the same time, it also felt like finding something she'd been missing her entire life. Her blood rushed hot and fast in her veins as Aldrick's lips moved against her own. Pressed against him, she could feel his heart pounding through his chest. Her arms encircled him, her fingers clutching at his skin. She felt as though his body was sinking into hers, and for the first time in her life, she realized what it truly meant to be home.
They finally pulled apart some time later, both of them gasping for breath.
"Whoa," she croaked.
Adrick chuckled. "And that wasn't even French kissing," he said with a coy smile. "I'll show you that another time."
"Oh planets, there's more?"
He laughed. "Don't worry, we'll take it slow. There's no reason to rush."
"Mm." Vr'ocria went back to pressing her face into his bare chest, drinking in the steady tha-thump of his heart. Her hand snaked around his waist, coming to rest on his back. Dancing her fingers over his skin, she could feel scars from the injuries he sustained from their last mission twisting across his back. "I'm still sorry about this," she murmured.
One hand moved up to rest between her shoulder blades, his other coming to clasp the back of her head, pulling her closer, if that was even possible. "It's not your fault. You would've died. I couldn't let that happen."
Vr'ocria squeezed her eyes shut, her spine tight with emotion. "I love you," she whispered into his chest.
"I love you too," Aldrick whispered back.
First off, I want to say THANK YOU for all the love y'all have shown this little story of mine. I didn't intend for this to be a series, but the characters developed a mind of their own, and I got attached lol. Y'all's comments have made me so happy, and I'm so glad I could bring a little bit of enjoyment to your day with these two idiots đ
Secondly, I think I will keep writing about Vr'ocria and Aldrick as inspiration strikes. I already have a couple of ideas, such as Vr'ocria learning what dreams are when Aldrick has a nightmare, and perhaps some angry space pirates come back for revenge on Vr'ocria, triggering some scary human rage...

Part One: Alien learns what "sleep" is and how humans prefer to do it in a comfy bed with blankets and pillows. And they find it utterly adorable.
Vr'ocria and Human Aldrick are sent on a survey mission together. Things go south, Aldrick makes sure they're safe, and then Vr'ocria learns what human sleep is and how vulnerable humans are when they sleep. Vr'ocria's people don't sleep, but enter stasis, a form of rest in which they typically stand, and they are still slightly aware of their surroundings. Vr'ocria finds human sleep utterly adorable, and also decides she will protect Aldrick while he sleeps. And she also develops a massive crush on him. (Her scales turning purple is her version of blushing)
Part Two: An alien + human adventure with such shenanigans as poison drinking, befriending dangerous wildlife, and fighting a space pirate. Oh, and they have a huge crush on each other.
Vr'ocria and Human Aldrick end up assigned together for another survey mission. Vr'ocria tries to deny her feelings for Aldrick after a tense conversation with her nestmate about the danger of humans, but when they're ambushed in the night by a pirate and Aldrick takes a blow to save her, becoming injured in the process, she comes to realize just how strongly she feels for him. She carries him to safety and the two share a tender moment, but nothing yet happens between them.
Now, on to the story!

Planet Gamma-5 was cold. Very cold. Vr'ocria had heard about snow, but she'd never seen it before. She might've thought the glowing, snowy landscape was beautiful if she wasn't so blasted cold.
A shock of icy wind blew her hood off her head, and she yanked it back on with a huff of frustration. She was not built for the cold, and her heated suit only did so much to keep her warm.
"Still doing okay?" A familiar voice carried from across the frozen river.
Vr'ocria turned towards the voice to see her favorite human, Aldrick, perched on a snow-covered boulder on the opposite side of the river. A bundle of warmth that had nothing to do with the heated suit burst at her spine. He knew about her cold-blooded nature, and ever since landing, he was constantly checking in on her.
"I think I'm done for the day," she shouted back.
Aldrick climbed down from the boulder and approached the edge of the river.
"You're not about to try to cross the ice, are you?" Vr'ocria called quickly. "It looks thin!"
"I don't want to walk all the way back down!" He shoved his scanner into his coat pocket. "Don't worry, I got this."
Vr'ocria ran to the edge of the ice, her scales standing on end inside her suit as she watched himâŚlay down?
Rather than step foot on the ice, Aldrick laid down on his stomach, and began scooting and sliding himself across the river. Despite how thin it was, the ice didn't crack once.
Vr'ocria crouched and held out her gloved hand when he was close, and helped pull him onto the bank. "Thanks," he grinned as he climbed to his feet.
She was still staring at the uncracked ice. "How did you�"
"Weight distribution," he explained. "It's how polar bears on Earth cross thin ice."
Polar bears? Vr'ocria decided she didn't want to ask about what was surely some terrifying Earth creature.
Aldrick was looking her up and down as he spoke, taking in her miserable expression and how she clutched at her suit. "Let's get you inside."
Vr'ocria didn't argue. The two of them made the trek back to their cabin, provided courtesy of the survey department. A wall of heat washed over them as they entered, and she collapsed into a kitchen chair with a huff. The cabin was small, but leagues better than the tiny shuttle pod from their last survey mission. There was a kitchen/living area, a waste room, and resting quarters with both a bed for Aldrick and a stasis chamber for herself.
Not that she planned to use it. She never took stasis inside a chamber when she was with Aldrick. She knew how vulnerable humans were when they slept, and so she swore she would protect him, since her people were still slightly aware while they rested in stasis. Whenever Aldrick slept, she always stood by himâtypically between him and the doorâand entered stasis there, ready to jump into action if anything happened.
It had already saved them once.
Once she caught her breath, Vr'ocria switched off the heating mechanism in her suit and tugged it off. She shivered in her undergarments for all of two seconds before Aldrick was wrapping a heated blanket around her and ushering her to the sofa, pushing a mug of warm broth into her hands at the same time.
Sinking into the cushions, she blinked down at the broth. "When did you make this? We just got back."
"I put it on the stove and had it simmering since we arrived to the planet this morning. I figured you would need it." He pulled the blanket tighter around her, a glower cast over his features. "They never should've assigned you to this planet. They know you're cold-blooded."
Vr'ocria smiled. She couldn't help it.
Aldrick fussed over her a bit longer than he needed to. When she finally assured him she was fine, he rose and grabbed his communicator. "I need to make a quick call. Yell if you need anything."
She hummed in acknowledgement, her breath rippling over the broth as she took a sip. Aldrick disappeared into the resting quarters, shutting the door behind him.
Vr'ocria was still enjoying her broth when Aldrick's voice carried through the closed door. "I don't care if it's her job! Doing her job doesn't mean she should suffer and potentially die!"
She jerked her head up to stare towards the door. Slowly, she put the mug down and rose to her feet, still clutching the blanket around her shoulders, and crept closer.
"Command knows her biology isn't built for this weather. She's reptilian, she could die!"
Vr'ocria didn't think she'd ever heard him so angry before.
"I don't want to hear itâŚThat heated suit is only meant for short term, if she wears it too long it could burn her âŚI don't care if I'm out of line! ...Dismiss me, I don't care! But don't you dare, ever, assign her to a tundra planet again," his voice dropped to a growl, "or you'll find out just how dangerous humans can be."

He froze, eyes snapping up to meet her gaze.
She smiled, her scales flushing pink. "Thank you for fighting for me."

I'm picking this motherboard because of the AM5 sockets with longevity in mind, willing to upgrade the GPU in a year or two.
I picked the 7600X because of it's clockspeed and ability to compile shaders fast, and chose the 6650xt because its a cheap but powerful card. I'm worried about the lack of VRAM though.
The case I just threw in there I'd rather have a cheap and functional case than a pretty one.
So here's my question: Are these parts going to last me for 1080p gaming for a couple years?

My 11 yo brother has taken a liking to my old collection and would like to learn the game. I used to love it and quickly jumped at the opportunity to create desks with him and hopefully get to duelling... but this is where I need help.
If someone wouldn't mind DMing me, I can send you the list of cards I have, and I'd love some advice on how we could go about creating maybe 4-5 decks so we have some variety when we want to play. I have categorised these cards relatively well (I think) onto a PDF.
I hope someone more knowledgable than me can look at the PDF and create some decks with what cards I currently have. I'd also love advice on what cards I could purchase to improve the decks, as I'd like for these games to be strategic and engaging.
