Hey, fellow Redditors! Have you ever found yourself trapped in those timeless debates that spark up at every social gathering? The kind that pit one grand entity against another, each with their ardent followers defending their choice with unwavering loyalty? Well, I found myself on such a crossroad recently, and I must admit, it was both intriguing and delicious!
So, a few days ago, my friends and I were debating the age-old question that seems to split the car enthusiast community down the middle:
Audi vs BMW. Each side has its fervent supporters, doesn't it? Both marques are masters in their own right, but isn't it fascinating how we find ourselves drawn to one or the other based on personal preferences? Maybe it's the style, the handling, or that intangible 'feel' that we can't quite put into words. What do you guys think? Are you Team Audi or Team BMW?
But wait, there's more. The debate did not stop there. On another corner, the discussion quickly spiraled into the realm of Mercedes, and the classic
Audi vs Mercedes battle was set ablaze. The elegance of Mercedes against the innovative Audi designs - how do you decide between these icons? Is there something specific that tips the scale for you?

2023.06.01 04:18 ThrowRA-Chicgurl Whiplash pain at an all time high 6 months after accident
Hi Reddit,
6 months ago I (23F) was rear ended sitting at a red light as the passenger. I was reclined back, laying down when my friend stopped extremely short to avoid crashing into the person in front of us. My body flew up in a weird way, we didn’t crash and took a sigh of relief. Then all of the sudden a car slams into the back of us and I flew forward again. I didn’t have any pain until slight neck pain a few hours later but I went to work that night. I went to the hospital after work, got looked at and they said I was fine. I started getting gradually worse and was having bad pain in my upper back, shoulders, and neck. I started seeing a chiropractor who I saw once/twice a week for 4 months. I know this is a long shot but I truly think this chiropractor made my injury worse. My pain has increasingly got so bad, every day, every second to where it’s impacting my quality of life. I stopped going as much and this much I finally stopped going and went to my first acupuncture appointment. She did cupping as well as acupuncture, and when I got up at the end of the appointment I was in the most pain I’ve ever been in, and my whole back was dark purple. I could’nt even turn my neck. She rubbed it out for me and told me this was normal to an extent and that I should feel better in a few days and go back to normal after about 6 sessions. I also forgot to add that on top of all this, I always have the urge to crack my neck/back and do it atleast once every 5 minutes and I constantly get massive cracks. If I shrug my shoulders they make a huge cracking sound, and if I rub my neck or back you can physically hear a few little pops. I’ve never had issues like this before the accident. Has anyone gone through something similar to this? I can’t take it anymore!

2023.06.01 04:11 Signal-Bullfrog3654 I’m the guy that keeps complaining about his Gr. 3 Supra. I’ve been trying, but I’m taking the same turns at the same speeds as AI cars and I spin out they just keep turning. they’re faster on straights too…Slow on corners + slow on straights =someone that should just fuckin quit. #imapieceofshit
| I learn from the car infront of me. But when they can take turns going twice the speed of me, while losing me on the straights then honestly my friends I don’t know why I bother after a hard days work. I’m frustrated, I’m mad at myself. And all I can think of is I wasn’t meant to succeed and this is just a reminder that I can’t get away from the suck. I whole heartedly am proud of all the ones that can race top tier cars and have fun. You deserve it. But in order for there to be winners…there has to be losers and your listening to one right now. Idk what to do. Video games are supposed to be enjoyable and fun. I haven’t been given the right to enjoy either of those emotions. Alright rant over. submitted by Signal-Bullfrog3654 to granturismo [link] [comments] |
2023.06.01 04:06 Lux_Aeternaaa My friend threw a tantrum at the movie theater.
Last night I(27F) went to watch the new The Little Mermaid with my male live-in friend (28m).
We had our discussion about the whole "should Ariel stayed white"... I personally don't care and I excited for the remake. If they had made her Asian or white, I would've been just as ecstatic as I was going to see the remake.
He preferred she stayed white. Which is fine. movie begins, everything is good but I noticed he wasn't paying much attention to it, shuffling around, looking at me (I can see him in my peripheral). I'm immersed in it, I love Disney movies. Any childhood remakes for that matter and looking forward to how the filmmakers and directors incorporated new ideas and little tweaks.
We get to the part where Prince Eric's mother, Queen Selina, appears on screen. I didn't expect him to have a black mother or a black queen at that. I thought "huh cool, maybe his stepmom, either way its fairytale". My friend on the other hand, scoffed and called it bullshot, "it doesn't make sense.. scoffs, they're trying to push an agenda..".. I tell him what I thought, "she could be his step-mom and just calls her mom bc they have a bond and she raised him".. he continues to complain about "woke movement" and how they are pushing forced diversity. At this point, I got tired to lightn up the mood since people kept turning around to us. I told him "stfu it's just a fairy tale. People can hear you ans you call your step-dad 'dad' sometimes when sharing stories, why couldn't it be the case here". He literally YELLS at me to shut up and not talk about his step-dad because he doesn't call him "dad".. a whole spectacle. We go back and forth, I'm trying to quiet him down and he's still raising his voice how diversity is being pushed on us.
I moved seats after telling him he is embarrassing because he is a grown 28yr old man acting like that over a live action remake of an animated movie from 1989. After moving seats, he followed me to it and I moved again 3x and he followed. I gave up and left to the restroom, came back 10mins later after gathering myself and moved to another seat where he finally left me alone.
Movie is over. We're walking silently to the car where he starts it up again. Talking about "woke agenda" "forced diversity" "what if we made Mulan black?!" "What if we made black panther white". I tried to explain to him those two stories their race matters bc it wouldn't make sense otherwise. Mulan is a Chinese ballad. Black Panther has various African cultural influences through out the movie..
He huff and puffs and two men are in the back laughing, looking at him ridiculously. He argues about the same thing on the way home and into the night, I argued back saying how it didn't matter, she's a made up Mermaid, it's a fairy tale..
He said some covertly racist things yet claims he isn't racist. He's upset that black people are now taking up space in the entertainment industry and "every corner of the media"
This morning I was already sad and yes I cried because it was so overwhelming and I couldn't understand how someone could be so angry about a mythical creature. I was so excited to see this movie especially after I saw snippets of the actress who played Vanessa, she ate and left no crumbs and she didnt even have 15mins of screen time!
He comes in, trying to play nice but I can tell he's seething still. Walking around my room, sighing and staring at me... after last night I wanted to be left alone and I told him this. Politely and calmly. He makes a scene all over again and this time I recorded becaaus i knownim not crazy or playong victim (and also i have a tendency to gaslight myself into thinking it's not a big deal or I was in fact the problem). He looked ridiculous. I'm debating to show family and friends because they think he is sweet. He is until certain topics comes up and he becomes verbally, emotional and even physically abusive and tries to turn it around on me when I'm depressed the next day saying "stop playing victim. You provoked me" "it's a new day why can't you let it go? You want to sulk all day? Great you ruined your own day"
Him: I saw an asian kid in it and I didn't care.. sp why do little black girls need to have black princess to feel better? Black people are over-represented.. how come the other minorities are represented?!
Everyone in that movie did an amazing job and it didn't take anything away from OG Disney Ariel's story.
My "friend" is Japanese and German. Looks mostly Japanese. He gets suprised people tell him they see him as Japanese or ethnic instead kf a white man, as he is "75% white"
I'm an Afro- Puerto Rican. I grew up in a diverse island, so seeing diversity isn't a shocker to me and I'm baffled at how angry people like him get over seeing "too many black people" on tv or "on every corner of media".
I was baffled instead at the LACK of diversity when I moved to the U.S.. maybe there was lack of diversity in Puerto Rico, I never noticed but in the States, it was always something you noticed because race was always a topic. I got bullied for my skin color l, accent, ect...In recent years, seeing more Asians, South Americans, Indigenous, Scottish, Latinos(as), and ethnic Europeans get animated and have influences in our movies and have movies made of them is exciting to me and I've always supported that
Race-swapping is only an issue with me is when their race is important to the story. Ex: you can't make Mulan white or black... or Merida Asian or Latina.. it just wouldn't make sense.

2023.06.01 04:03 YellowDiaper TR28 Truggy won’t reverse
Just getting back into the hobby and wanted to get something fun for around the house. Today I bought a TR28 from a local hobby shop after watching videos and reviews over the last few days. I Charged it up out of the box, and then began to run it around with my cat chasing it. I pinned myself in a corner and went to reverse and the car won’t go. Just makes a loud “errr” noise as voltage goes to the motor. I assume it may be a gearing issue, but any suggestions to fix, or did I get a faulty one? Help is appreciated

2023.06.01 03:54 CpnStumpy Want to try a DE, with my criteria what do you suggest?
Many of you may recognize me on here for always recommending straight razors, I do love my collection and my shaves with them, but I'm a curious person by nature.
So my criteria is simple:
- I'm a cheapskate, and really this is to sate curiosity, not intending to replace my straight razors (great shave from an 1893 Chicago world's fair this morning in ~12 minutes for 2.5 passes DFS+), let's keep it $40 for the DE or lower please - granted I'll need to purchase blades separately
- I believe vintage survived because the quality, or they would've been tossed in the trash, and frankly I just find the age interesting, I have 3 different Teddy Roosevelt straight razors because.. it's just neat that such old things are still as good or better than modern renditions
- Given I've been using straight razors (not shavettes) for many years, I'm concerned about nicking myself up with a DE, straight razors tend to be so gentle and warn me before they'll nick me so I can stop and avoid it - I suspect adjustable or otherwise milder DE might be better fit given my habits, unless the blade brand is more important than the razor, this is uncharted territory for me and I do worry about cutting myself to ribbons
- I am completely comfortable buying vintage on ebay, that's how my straight razor collection got built
- I'm unbothered by patina, wear, needing a bit of soap and elbow grease, but don't want something that needs restoration just to be usable, I'll do that with a straight razor because that's going to be in my collection, not interested in restoring a DE though because again, this is a curiosity
So, recommendation on what DE model to get? And what blades to try in it first?
I'm past chasing BBS, that's fine for learning, but I shave to shave, I'm not overly concerned if I don't get the closest shave possible. I don't have sensitive skin generally, but also don't cut myself shaving with a straight, and don't want to start to just for this experiment.

2023.06.01 03:51 dimensionalvibe My worst nightmare
Once during a lucid dream, I found myself in a town with an old friend. However, things took a dark turn when my friend betrayed me and held me hostage at gunpoint in his apartment. To my horror, two other people had come out from a bedroom, each brandishing their own assault rifles. They began to rap and dance around with their weapons, pointing them at me while I pleaded to know why they were doing this.
I ask who they are one more time. One of the gun-wielding strangers then pointed his weapon at my head and said, "This guy doesn't even know he's me." Then turns around to look at the others as they all laugh together. I was terrified, confused and I paniced. I made a run for it. However, the door had five locks, which I frantically unlocked one by one. But my escape was thwarted when I discovered another locked door on the other side of this door. I was dragged back to the center of the room and suddenly woke up, only to fall back asleep and find myself right back in the same nightmare.
I was welcomed back by my friend he had an assault rifle. Supposedly the other 2 were waiting for us in a car downstairs. He pushed against my back with the barrel of the rifle ushering me to open the door and go outside. As i took a step out he took a sdcond to lock the door i instantrly jump off the balconey landing in the grass. I see the other 2 climbing the stairs as I land.
The only thing I remember is runnung as fast as I can. The last thing I did was look back and saw them about 25-30ft away, chasing me with their guns pointed. When I looked back forward there was a corner I was abke to turn for cover and right after I did that I wokeup.
These dreams are super real there is no waking up. They gave me night terrors for a week. I couldnt sleep which led to nor being able to eat much. I would get anxious at night time because I didnt know what was happening with me.
Here is my other "dream", really I call it an experience but I can never prove it was real besides saying the perception i got was that i was awake until i wokeup for a second time in the same place..

2023.06.01 03:46 Mynxae Dashcam recommendations?
Hubby and I are purchasing our first brand new car in a few months (waiting for it to come in) and want to make sure that we have both front and rear dashcams to protect us (and it), does anyone have a good recommendation for one that'll be good quality and won't just die in a year or two? Have heard some horror stories of people just going straight to whatever's new and they end up being a POS. :/

2023.06.01 03:45 Soalai Every Old Tour Performance Ranked (Fearless through Reputation)
Disclaimer: This is an old post. I wrote it in March but it was never approved until now.
In preparation for Eras' opening night, I went back and watched every previous tour in full, either the official DVDs, or other full filmed versions if the DVD was unavailable or incomplete. Then I tried to rank all the performances.
This is not a ranking of the song itself but rather the presentation, staging, originality, etc. Surprise songs from the same tour will all count as one. Would love to know your favorites, and how you think Eras stacks up!
91. Speak Now World Tour – Fearless / Hey, Soul Sister / I'm Yours
The start of this tour's acoustic set, where she sat under a tree, strumming the ukulele. Points for the outfit, but I think this was an inferior arrangement of this particular song.
#. Red Tour – Treacherous
Weird choices were made here. Why was she wearing a tutu and dancing ballet for one of her most serious, adult songs? Why was this the main set closer? I think this would have worked better during the acoustic set, then she could close with Everything Has Changed or something. Still hard to complain about the song itself, though. The fog machines suited it.
89. Fearless Tour – Our Song
Cute, but she mostly just stood in one place and there was some awkward butt shaking in the middle.
88. Fearless Tour – White Horse
Part of the acoustic set. It followed Tim McGraw, but I think two songs that slow wasn't a good pacing choice and this one just doesn't fill an arena the way Tim McGraw does.
87. Red Tour – Stay Stay Stay / Ho Hey
I'm surprised this was part of the set. She did it basically how you'd expect, bopping around, kinda campy. I like how she had a moment goofing around with Amos.
86. Red Tour – Holy Ground
This song is made for a stadium setting, but I really think she should have been playing the guitar during it, or somehow done more. The way it was, it just sounded like noise. The dancers dressed like sirens did liven it up, but were also kinda cartoony.
85. 1989 World Tour – I Wish You Would
Basically the same performance she already did like three times before in the show. The real MVP was that one dancer in the back who did a flip off the chin-up bar.
84. Fearless Tour – Teardrops On My Guitar
I like how they turned the big screens into bookshelves, to continue the imagery of both high school and fairy tales. However, the singing didn't sound great here.
83. Speak Now World Tour – Fifteen
Sounded fuller than the Fearless tour version, but I think the giant princess gown didn't really suit the song. (Some shows also had her performing Ours in this spot.)
82. Fearless Tour – Fifteen
The first more intimate performance in this tour. She was seated and you can tell from the look in her eyes that the song made her feel nostalgic. Some videos of this have a teal dress and some have yellow; I prefer the teal.
81. Speak Now World Tour – Surprise Covers
A variety of covers on the guitar, during her acoustic set. She showed her versatility here as she did everything from classics to modern hits.
80. Fearless Tour – Hey Stephen
The one where she snuck around the hallways and popped out on the other side of the stadium. Great for the nosebleeds.
79. Red Tour – State Of Grace
She started off behind a red curtain, her silhouette singing the opening lines. (Unfortunately, the videos I watched had her struggling a lot with her earpiece and singing totally off-key for the first verse, but I know that wouldn't have happened every night.) A decent rock banger to open the show, if a little repetitive.
78. Red Tour – I Almost Do
The first of this tour's acoustic performances on the B stage. Nothing terrible but nothing remarkable either. It was about the lyrics and emotions, not the theatrics.
77. Red Tour – Begin Again
Staged the same way as I Almost Do, which was an appropriate way to do this song, but I can't help but think it would have worked better closer to the end.
76. 1989 World Tour – Bad Blood
It was fine, but by this point in the concert, I'm tired of the same kind of performance again.
75. Fearless Tour – Tell Me Why
Typical energetic angry Tay performance. She made some weird movements but that silver dress was everything.
74. Speak Now World Tour – The Story Of Us
Similar to Tell Me Why above from the previous tour.
73. Speak Now World Tour – Last Kiss
This version was a tad faster than the studio version, and the vocal delivery wasn't quite as sad; the sighs and the faint quiver in her voice that people love so much weren't really there. Still a nice rendition. The crowd was sobbing.
72. 1989 World Tour – Love Story
A nice synth arrangement that wisely went in a different direction than the older tours. By this point, both she and the audience had outgrown the princess gowns. However, I was kinda waiting for something more to happen, like fireworks or something.
71. Fearless Tour (2009 only) – Change
A faithful adaptation of this song, and a good choice for the main set closer.
70. 1989 World Tour – Welcome To New York
That was a lot of dancers! A decent opener, flashy and just '80s enough.
69. Red Tour – You Belong With Me
A sort of girl group throwback, with Taylor and the backup singers in matching red dresses and gloves. It was OK, and a good choice to perform one of her smash hits years later, but quite removed from the teenage angst this song came from.
68. 1989 World Tour – New Romantics
Similar to Welcome To New York which preceded it, this one worked early in the set almost as well as it works to close the deluxe album. Love her blue eyeshadow.
67. Speak Now World Tour – Mine
Pretty straightforward, but the red guitar is a nice touch. (Was she already dropping hints at Red?)
66. Red Tour – Sparks Fly
On a hanging platform that slowly moved around the arena, while the screens in back showed actual sparks. It was cool, but I'm not sure it was the best idea to limit her movement for arguably the loudest, most energetic song in her catalog at the time.
65. 1989 World Tour – I Knew You Were Trouble
The rock version. A bit slow and heavy but I appreciate her doing something new with the song.
64. 1989 World Tour – This Love
Could have been part of the acoustic set, but instead she upped the electronic and bass sounds and added fireworks. A nice breather before the last few songs.
63. Reputation Stadium Tour – End Game
Solid, but didn't stand out among the shenanigans of the other songs early in the show.
62. Red Tour – Everything Has Changed (with Ed Sheeran)
This one had a laid back feel that matches the song, but the raised platform and fans waving their lights gave it a little something extra. Ed sounded great. I kinda respect that he made no attempt to dress to the aesthetic.
61. Fearless Tour (2009 only) – I'm Only Me When I'm With You (with Kellie Pickler and Gloriana)
A very energetic country number with all the opening performers, the first of a two-song finale.
60. Speak Now World Tour – Surprise Guest Songs
She didn't have one at every show of this tour, but they were all pretty fun, with a mix of genres. The crowd, of course, loved them. It's really amazing to see how many friendships and connections she made in the industry, even early on.
59. Red Tour – Surprise Guest Songs
See above. Every one of these videos I found, Taylor had a different outfit, which is impressive.
58. Speak Now World Tour – You Belong With Me
She walked from the B stage back to the main stage, hugging and shaking hands with fans along the way. It's clear from including this song that, though Speak Now was a more adult album than Fearless, she knew most of her fans were still teenagers and still needed these songs about high school.
57. Fearless Tour – You Belong With Me
Her vocals weren't strong in the clips that I watched, but the costume was iconic.
56. Fearless Tour – The Way I Loved You
Sometimes done in the silveblack dress and sometimes in the purple. The way she moved between the two halves of the stage was pretty on-the-nose for the song, but I love how she featured Grant the guitarist. Hair Force One for the win! Also, it was a crime that they left this off the Journey to Fearless DVD.
55. Red Tour – The Lucky One
Taylor was dressed like a retro Hollywood starlet, and the dancers were paparazzi with cameras or screaming fans. A very literal presentation of this song which probably helped it stick in people's minds more.
54. Reputation Stadium Tour – Style / Love Story / You Belong With Me
I think Style was a weird choice to mash up with these two songs, but it worked well enough as a showcase for the band, many of whom had been with her over a decade by this point.
53. 1989 World Tour – Blank Space
She said her goal here was to recreate the music video, but I'm not sure this really conveyed the message of the song; she should have interacted with the dancers more to achieve that effect. Still a very entertaining performance, though.
52. 1989 World Tour – All You Had To Do Was Stay
The cherry on top: columns of blue smoke shot out every time the distorted voice squeaked "stay!" Not sure what was up with that chair, though.
51. Red Tour – 22
A big party, just as this song should be. I'm sure that, when seeing it live, the energy would have been off the charts. The choreography was impressive, more than we usually see from her.
50. Fearless Tour – Picture To Burn
The screens were on fire, so it's exactly how you'd expect her to stage this song. The guitar slayed.
49. Reputation Stadium Tour – Blank Space
I think the red bodysuit, gyrating choreography, and multiple Taylors on the back screen actually better conveyed the "character" she's playing in the song. Like she's this femme fatale with multiple personalities.
48. 1989 World Tour – Clean
Now here's a song that could have used some fake rain, somehow. Even so, the images on the big screen were quite lovely.
47. Speak Now World Tour – Mean
I think it was a good choice to keep this one simple. Just that porch-shaped mini stage with her band beside her. The song itself is a whole mood, so it didn't need a lot of theatrics.
46. Red Tour – Mean
Basically the same as the Speak Now performance, just with a different outfit and shaped stage.
45. Reputation Stadium Tour – Call It What You Want
Not as big a song as most of this album, but a nice warm moment before the crazy finale. I do dig the purple dress, and how the dancer she danced with was a redhead (not unlike a certain British actor).
44. Fearless Tour – Tim McGraw
Making this slow dance into exactly what it was meant to be: a swaying sing-along, everyone's phones or lighters in the air. She walked through the crowd to hug the fans.
43. Speak Now World Tour – Dear John
For the first couple verses, she just sat on the arch/bridge thing, and I kinda wondered if anything else was going to happen. Then I said "holy shit!" as the fireworks exploded up everywhere. We know she may never perform this one again, so I have serious FOMO that I did not see this show back then.
42. Speak Now World Tour – Speak Now
First time she wore the distinct purple Speak Now dress, possibly the outfit of the era. The crowd were singing along like crazy. The scenery definitely brought the song to life even if it normally isn't the most energetic from the era. She walked through the crowd shaking hands while the wedding guests tossed the bouquet around, wearing the most late 2000s/early 2010s party dresses imaginable.
41. Fearless Tour – Forever & Always
Boy was she pissed at a certain Jonas back then. Red dress, red microphone, red couch, red text on the back screen saying "They shouldn't do bad things." The notes in head voice sound kinda weak, but she nailed the high note with the microphone lean. Insane stumbling down the stairs and throwing herself all over the stage. Very extra.
40. Speak Now World Tour – Better Than Revenge
Reminiscent of the Forever & Always performance, but her vocals were better here. Grant and Paul got a guitar solo (or duet, I guess).
39. Reputation Stadium Tour – Getaway Car
Sonically, all but identical to the studio version. The "Why She Disappeared" poem beforehand and the desert visuals onscreen complemented it and helped turn it into more of a story.
38. Reputation Stadium Tour – King Of My Heart
The huge drums were a great touch. You can see how happy she was, which didn't always come across with just a superficial listen to the Rep album tracks.
37. Fearless Tour – Fearless
One of my favorite songs sounded even better live. Her smile, stomping and spinning around, totally captured the spirit of the song. Bonus points for adding in the name of the city each night.
36. Fearless Tour – You're Not Sorry / What Goes Around…Comes Around
First appearance of the piano head flip. These two songs worked decently mashed up, but I wonder how it would have been if she stayed at the piano the whole time.
35. 1989 World Tour – I Know Places
The moving doors were pretty cool.
34. 1989 World Tour – Surprise Songs
The raised walkway and whole stadium lit up blue was an excellent way to do the acoustic set. Props to her for not sitting down the way she did on the other tours, that had to take stamina. (In my heart, the sing-along of You Are In Love from the DVD is the "canon" performance here because it was part of the album.)
33. 1989 World Tour – Style
Probably the most effective use of the catwalk, given how it perfectly fit the lyrics. The dancers were brave for roller skating on it.
32. Reputation Stadium Tour – Bad Blood / Should've Said No
Another snake, this time a skeletal one transporting her to the upper stage. These songs worked very well mashed up; just listen how the crowd went nuts at that first banjo lick.
31. Reputation Stadium Tour – Dress
Another huge improvement from the studio version. It wasn't as high pitched, therefore more listenable. The sheets waving around everywhere were a nice subtle way to remind us what this song was about, in case people were too distracted by the pretty lights and synths to listen to the lyrics.
30. 1989 World Tour – Enchanted / Wildest Dreams
By this point, the piano mash-ups while wearing a long gown were getting kind of predictable. However, this was a great choice of mash-up and I dig whatever shape that piano was supposed to be.
29. Speak Now World Tour – Long Live
Another song that's tailor-made for a stadium just the way it is. The sparkly silver guitar was perfect.
28. Red Tour – Red
Now this is how you do a rock number. She had the sparkly red guitar and the dancers were waving giant red sheets all around.
27. Fearless Tour – Love Story
Once again, iconic. Ball gowns twirling until she changed into a white wedding dress, which def looked more like a prom dress. The backgrounds on the screen were low-res by today's standards, but this is what a lot of people still think of when they think of Taylor Swift.
26. Red Tour – Love Story
Similar to the Fearless tour version, with different costumes. The vocals weren't good in the video I watched, but we know she can do it. I especially like the moment where she grabbed her dance partner and ran across the stage with him – "escape this town for a little while."
25. Reputation Stadium Tour – Gorgeous
Classy move to use this song to introduce the dancers and backup singers. Also those cats in the Netflix recording – were they on the screens at the actual tour?!
24. Reputation Stadium Tour – Delicate
Finally bringing some color, as well as this era's version of the floating cage. The song is more romantic than what came before, but the gold tendrils wrapping around were still reminiscent of snakes.
23. Reputation Stadium Tour – We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together / This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things
An all-out romp to close the show.
22. Reputation Stadium Tour – Surprise Songs
Your feelings about this will probably depend on the individual song, especially if you saw the tour live. The videos I've seen were all great, showcasing how her vocals and guitar skills improve with every tour. Also, probably the last time we'll ever hear the 5-minute ATW live.
21. 1989 World Tour – Shake It Off
Basically the only way to do this song. I dig the royal blue.
20. Speak Now World Tour – Our Song
A definite improvement from the Fearless tour version. The prairie dress, the braid, dueting with Caitlin the fiddle player, and much more movement around the stage.
19. Speak Now World Tour – Sparks Fly
DROP EVERYTHING NOW! Excellent choice to start with this instead of Mine. The dress legit looked like it's sewn out of fireworks.
18. Red Tour – All Too Well
No frills, just Taylor at a red piano and this magnificent song swelling until it filled the whole arena. Her voice was quite raw and emotional here.
17. 1989 World Tour – Surprise Guest Songs
A major feature of this tour, done at every show.
16. Reputation Stadium Tour – Shake It Off (with Charli XCX and Camila Cabello)
As well done as the 1989 Tour version was, this one was a step up. I love the snakes bopping around. The message of this song worked just as well with the themes of Rep.
15. Reputation Stadium Tour – Dancing With Our Hands Tied
(Or So It Goes, in some performances.) Arguably the finest of all her acoustic sets. Beautiful stripped-down renditions of songs that I overlooked at first on the album. Some people say DWOHT is her most romantic song, and you can see why here. I also love the green get-up, which was still reminiscent of the snake motif but had its own flavor.
14. 1989 World Tour – Out Of the Woods
The forceful yet stuttering choreography really served the anxious nature of the song. The paper airplanes whizzing back and forth were a nice touch. Also the perfect spot in the show to put it – very climactic.
13. Red Tour – We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together
The finale where she brought the whole damn circus, literally. Sing it, clowns.
12. Reputation Stadium Tour – …Ready For It?
The old Taylor was dead.
11. Speak Now World Tour – Enchanted
They nailed the costume and the scenery yet again. She sang it better here than on the studio recording.
10. Speak Now World Tour – Haunted
Excellent transition here, as the Enchanted forest turned dark blue and the giant bell appeared. Speaking of the bell, her smacking it (but not really) may be the most dramatic thing to happen in any Taylor Swift live performance. Her dress was even tattered at the bottom. I'm here for all of it.
9. 1989 World Tour – We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together
When Taylor became the rock goddess we always knew she was.
8. Speak Now World Tour – Back To December / Apologize
Beautiful presentation of this song. Full string orchestra here (I think?). Really leaned into the winter imagery with the light blue gown, white piano, and snowflakes falling in the background.
8. Reputation Stadium Tour – Don't Blame Me
She swore she doesn't love the drama, but this performance would suggest otherwise.
7. Reputation Stadium Tour – I Did Something Bad
A strong performance with lots of pyro, but it really elevated at the bridge, where the dancers lifted Taylor up and she leaned back into the pillar of fire on the screen. "Light me up," indeed.
6. Speak Now World Tour – Love Story
An improvement over the Fearless version in every respect. She swooped over the crowd on a floating balcony, while pairs of dancers in period dress spun on trapezes hanging from the ceiling.
5. Fearless Tour – Should've Said No
THE RAIN MACHINE! With the words in it! I think this spoke for itself. She literally killed it.
4. 1989 World Tour – How You Get the Girl
Another rain performance, but this time with neon umbrellas and a unique glow-in-the-dark bubblegum dress. She didn't need to do all this for such a deep cut, but she did. Underrated.
3. Reputation Stadium Tour – Look What You Made Me Do
The superior version of this song (addendum: until Eras, that is.) The black-and-gold snake robe, the "tilted stage," and of course Karyn the massive inflatable snake. Helped many people appreciate and understand what was once a very polarizing song, myself included.
2. Reputation Stadium Tour – Long Live / New Year's Day
A gorgeous piano mash-up that went right to the heart. In my opinion, Long Live belongs on every tour, and the line "hold on to spinning around" flowed perfectly into "hold onto the memories." Beyond that, this was the moment that freed her from the bad-girl big-reputation persona she had presented for most of the show. It was human and vulnerable. Just look at the joy on her face as she gazed out at the audience. We stan a queen.
1. Red Tour – I Knew You Were Trouble
Perhaps not as iconic as the circus number, but sure as hell should be. Started with the fiddle player going absolutely insane, on a sparkly red fiddle no less! Followed by Taylor and all the dancers acting out some sort of masquerade ball, eventually tearing off her poofy white gown to reveal a sexy black and gold romper. An electrifying dubstep Phantom of the Opera.
Thank you for reading all this!

2023.06.01 03:23 ACME_Product Why is the Evo in Underground 2 SO BAD?
So, the thing is, we know the Corolla in NFSU2 is the best car in that game BY FAR, right? Well, that isn't because of just being a perfectly balanced car IRL. Developers did make it OP on purpose. Messing around with the NFSU2 Configurator by Greeve X & POPSul i found out the Corolla isn't just the only car in the game with Rear-bias weight distribution. It has the lowest front weight, which is perfect for cornering. It also is the car with the second lowest centre of gravity in the entire game(suspension bracket section on the configurator), the first being the Navigator, ROFL... Not only that, but it is by far the car with the biggest proportion of rear wheel diameter compared to the front wheel. This makes the car sit higher at the back, which in this game makes cars accelerate faster for some reason. Then add a pretty high power to weight ratio helped by the massive turbo boost and you have a killer machine that is unbeatable by any other car in the game(not even RX7 comes close). Why did i mention all this things? Turns out, the Evo is quite the opposite of the Corolla. Weight distribution is a terrible 60% front, suspension bracket is THE SECOND HIGHEST of all cars in the game (excluding the Hummer, the very close first place). To that add the fact the Stage 3 turbo makes a miserable 110Nm of boost, and that gives it a pathetic P/W Ratio. This is idiotic, as the Stage 3 turbo on the Eclipse which has THE SAME ENGINE as the Evo, makes 180Nm of boost, the Eclipse makes more power having 500 RPM less of engine speed than the evo... So, my conclusion is that, for some reason, someone on the team of programmers must have really hated the Evo. Which is a shame as this is one of the best NFS games concerning realistic mechanics, and it's unacceptable that they made what should have been to be one of the best cars in the game have such a terrible performance.
P.S.: The game also has no air resistance, making a car like the Corolla lack an OBVIOUS disadvantage it has over most cars except SUV's...

2023.06.01 03:23 dad_rock_enthusiast Jackson Dinky (or other affordable option) for Drop C riffing?
Hobby guitarist here looking to downtune a bit. My current guitar is a nice Les Paul that does everything I want for E standard & Drop D. Now I'm looking for an affordable option for my Drop C dadcore needs.
The Jackson Dinky stood out to me due to its price and seemingly decent quality. I mainly plan to use this to riff at home and also record some demos via my Neural DSP plugins, so ideally I'd like it to sound relatively decent when recording. These bad boys are $200-$300 at Guitar Center, so I'm thinking of grabbing one and getting it set up for Drop C / D Standard before I head out.
Wondering if the Dinky is a decent option, or if there's a better budget guitar suitable for heavy downtuned playing around the same price range?

2023.06.01 03:15 FLAMINGOPIT What’s in the Bags
I love WITBs, but I want to see more than just the clubs. I love to see what the bag is, the headcovers, and any cool nick-nacks you keep.
A golf bag setup is a sculpture. To me, it is an embodiment of the character, style, and personality of a player. They also look really cool. It’s like seeing different car builds online.
That being said, does anyone know a good account on social media (any app) that showcases “golf bag builds?” I’d also love to see more people post their whole setup on this sub.

2023.06.01 03:14 neomancr Something to try. I've always found it way better to spend your budget on 2 amps than the same on a single "higher end amp" the complete elimination of cross talk etc can't be done in one box.
I haven't seen any amps with two transformers but even with one giant toroidal transformer and the hugest highest quality caps etc, amps are ultimate ac and not DC. So electronically it's like 1 pond vs 2. The current doesn't flow so the power doesn't even matter as much as the ability for the amp to control the amp where being silent takes as much work as playing 2hz at the same volume as it'd play 20k. The dynamic range is muddled by the bottle neck of the box itself.
I'm hoping people will start selling vertical amps that are designed to play 2 channel mono, hf and lf vs 2 channel stereo. I suspect the reason why people think stereo is not 3D is because or cross talk muddle. Speakers set up properly should be able to render exactly what the cross mix array captured so you can test it with a tascam and record something behind you. You should be able to hear the sound behind you just like you recorded it from the same place you recorded it. Mixes are now mastered in 3D space where you can literally move sounds around the "listener". 2 speaker are all you need for stereo, the surround sound format only exists for games and movies since those are meant to be a kinda ride where you have surprise explosions and stuff. And in that case different speakers like jbl basically created the sound signature we associate to theatres and clubs. Klipsch took the same concept of arena horn theatres and calculated it to work inside on a room using the room itself as part of the speaker in many of their patents which still presume a ceiling and floor which many speakers designers do and design waveguides to handle similar to how audyssey speaker calibration does the BBC dip to reduce the hit spot of summing the crossover of the tweeter and woofers and their reflections in a range where out ears are most sensitive.
Speaker design goes even wilder where things like the voigt pipe were shrunken to like a foot ball using solid metal rubber seals and basically simulating the Sydney opera house on the inside so the port can create the spaciousness and play high bandwidth sound that reinforces the spacial cues vs just adding a bass boost using geometry like phi and really high compression to create the equivalent of a laser tunnel to let the sound blast out only when it's on phase and with exotic elliptical ports and moving parts on the inside beyond the drivers themselves.
The more you study speakers the more you realise they that Speakers ARE music instruments. They should all be called audio monitors. It's weird that we still call them speakers--a relic from when speakers were just meant to transmit voices and overhead speakers were called Tannoys. There's this concept that musicians aren't audiophiles and that just comes from now musicians know nothing sounds "real" everything is a simulation and when mixing you average your mix and compare it between various speakers, then headphones of various kinds, then now suddenly we have to check to see if it works on mono too and go for a ride to see how it sounds then hop on the living room to listen on loud speakers and each time it's fun and different. So it's not that musicians don't appreciate good gear it's that musicians understand that all speakers are monitors and just tools. And it's as fun to hear your song on anyone's system as it is to hear it over dodger stadium. Or randomly hear an old song you wrote on some phone game.
It's like Trent Reznor saying that Johnny cashes version IS the definitive version of Hurt since no musician really ever finishes a song. They must get it to the best it can be because something has to be recorded and made into a thing. But you still keep changing and messing with it when you play it live. And if it were to be re-recorded it'd be "more finished" but it never really ever gets done. Which is a trap that collaborating helps you with similar to auditioning a new drummer because you want a certain sound and will find the drummer who can get it as close to what you would do or could do if you could while playing guitar.
The ability for the amp to render a stream of complex wavelengths 1 to 1 and for a single box with one power source to be forced to do that with 2 channels is like trying to play a string on a piano without causing the rest of the strings to be affected. Pianos do the opposite and take a whole bunch of strings of varying mass with a sound board based on the loudness curve to to allow it to sound like one instrument vs a bunch varying harps. The piano has a sound board that opens to corner load the bass strings. And each string is chosen for its mass and length to get the tone just right so it sounds like one instrument even though it's a bunch of strings each with a key and a hammer like a musical typewriter. It's carefully engineered to have a giant range while you can press all the notes the same pressure and expect the same volume or sweep and it sounds as level as a guitar slide.
Speaker design has the same thing but with a different role / utility where 2 are meant to crossover to recreate the sound of stereo, the only 3D sense that exists where you can focus and tell where and when a sound happened and where it's going without moving a muscle. And your ears are so calibrated to hear things on 3D you still hear things in your sleep and integrate it into your dream. I remember watching friends with my wife and she started without me I just picked up on an episode I remembered and dreamt about it. It's why we have alarm clocks that are audible and that works perfectly fine even when it's just a watch beeping while people can die of smoke inhalation and not wake up. But they'd still likely hear the fire alarm so hopefully they wouldn't die is the point go smoke alarms. But that's how much we're actually guided by our ears more than any other sense.
Audio is awesome and with music you can tell a story along with words to open up the bandwidth of communication and expression way beyond what just words alone would convey.
Transmission is the opposite of noise and a system has to be just as good at being completely silent as it is at playing the purest white noise or the most spacious pink noise. The silence should be called black noise and is actually played differently by different media where tape for instance treats silence as too high for us to hear and is still used as a tool by musicians to record due to the way it compresses vs clips when recording. Vinyl treats silence as the least texture rendered which gives vinyl a weird kinda charm in the sense that it adds a meta layer of sound you selectively filter out in your head but it drowns out the ambient noise and replaces it with on phase silence which reinforces the music like turning off the lights in a projection room so the "blacks" look blacker. White noise is also relative to each system and it makes a lot more sense imo to test white noise than the old sweep method for mono speakers. A lot of speakers don't even work when playing a single sine wave note unless you plan on playing only 8 bit beeps and bloops.
A guitar is useful as an analogy for how the amp strums the speaker. When you press down on one string, it's grounded so you can pluck it to cause the string to play a note. The rest of the guitar is going to ring sympathetically by proximity AND through the body of the guitar. Current doesn't flow through ac it's already loaded like a taut string waiting to be struck or muted. Or in terms of electronics it's an antenna whose transmission is in the audible band.
The cables are an active and a ground. I'm not even sure why stereos exist from an engineering stand point. The role of an amp is to control what happens to the "string" and a single amp having to control two "strings" at once always causes more muddles sound from the bottom up. You can even get 2 decent but cheap amps like the topping MXs which are stereo but only use one for the left side and one for the right and it'll sound like a thousand dollar difference.
https://youtube.com/shorts/o5kRvEEpWIA?feature=share4 I wish they just sold amps that were modular and controllable as a single unit but and could connect together side by side or stack.
It's similar to how a sub woofer has its own amp so anyone with a subwoofer already has a bi amped system and 2 subs means you already have 2 parallel amps running your subs and people who get 2 amps have a hard time going back. It's not just the redundancy to fill the room since I realised its always better to run them in stereo giving you the ability to hear a 3D foundation that's consistent all the way up. If you bi amp you can also use separate channels for the HF and the LF so you can still get as much separation on the other axis to improve the fidelity.
Speakers + amps are as much musical instruments as a guitarist and his amps/gear.

2023.06.01 02:53 fuckxausd Why are their cars sitting outside my house?
When I was younger about 12-13 my dads car got broken into around 4 am. I used to be a light sleeper and it was a warm summer night so I had my window open and I woke up after hearing a car door shut. I shot up and looked out my window and saw a car parked in the street next to my house The engine then turned on and they left I was a little weirded out by the thing and come to find out they took change for drug money or sum shit. Fast forward sum years and Im looking out my window trying to hit a cart with a wire and the outlet was next to the window and a blacked out suv passes slowly I didn’t think anything of it but it passes again a little slower. Still didn’t think much of it, It comes by again and this time it stoped in front of my house. I had a video of it I don’t know if I still have it though I will look if anyone is interested. anyways It isn’t moving so I stupidly started yelling and he drove off he had a red vertical strip in the middle of his license plate too never seen anything like it. Couple months later I’m chilling with my neighbor and my friend who i will call paul. we are in his car at about 1:30am. we decide to go for a ride around the neighborhood since we are bored. when we come back not even 2 mins later. There is a Truck with his lights on a couple houses up and we live in a culdesac. He wasnt their before either and sits their for about 2 minutes after we park then slowly goes by. It could be the neighbors maybe their teaching their kids how to drive or sum or maybe I was still paranoid from the robbing incident idk I know there has gotta be a logical answer? I would like to know I was tripping but my gut says otherwise

2023.06.01 02:49 flyingpenman49 ‘22 Outback Onyx XT or ‘21 Forester Sport? Help me decide!
Buying a second car for the family from a coworker and need some help deciding! They’re offering either their:
- ‘22 Outback Onyx XT (white with 2K miles) for $35K or…
- ‘21 Forester Sport (silver with 6K miles) for $30K.
(If you’re wondering on the prices or why a coworker is selling both cars - it’s Hawaii and they’re leaving the island and don’t want them. We will also be leaving in 1-2 years and will take this car with us).
Originally was set on the Forester but am second-guessing myself. Current have a ‘20 Ascent Touring as our only/family car and absolutely love it. This would be our backup/commuter car (family of 5 with young kids). Owned a ‘15 Forester for years and also loved it. Not as familiar with the Outback - owned a ‘10 briefly but the transmission went out and had to junk it.
Is the extra $5K worth it or do I stick with my gut?
Reasons for Forester:
- save $5K up front
- I know I like the visibility and high seating (am 5’8”)
- sport trim looks fun and cloth seems high quality (though not wild about silver base color)
- easier to park, maneuver, slightly better mileage
- this one has HK audio and power rear gate
- physical HVAC controls/no giant tablet screen a plus (from what I’ve heard)
Reasons for Outback:
- 1 year newe4K fewer miles
- slightly roomier in back, slightly more cargo, and StarTex seats might be better w/young kids?
- “nicer,” quieter ride (so I’m told)
- like the simple white/black exterior and outback looks better in general
- turbo engine for highway
Unknowns:
- is StarTex worse, better, or just different than leather?
- not sure about any extra options on the OB Onyx (need to ask)
- not sure if I’d miss the SUV feel of ForesteAscent
- does turbo put a big damper on mileage (not a big issue just curious)
Thanks for any experience/thoughts!

2023.06.01 02:46 Apprehensive_Home961 please advise 48M and 46F
Any insight or advice would be appreciated. I will try and keep this as brief as I can. Still LOOONG
I am a 48(m) divorced 2 years ago, 4 children. Wife kept the house I kept my 401K. was married for 12 years. . Took everything I had to boost my credit and find an apartment in a nearby city so as to remain close to the kids. Me and my coparent are on somewhat amicable terms.
Had ZERO intentions of meeting somebody new or even wanting to date after finding apartment and moving in awaiting divorce finalization.I did however process my divorce. Long story short, an old high school crush now 46, (whom rejected me years ago then immediately got knocked up by a guy I cant stand and had 2 kids with but never married) reached out via Facebook. ( I hardly ever am even on FB, timing I suppose) ( It should be said I have turned down many such women who rejected me in the past, this one however slipped through the cracks , so to speak
I vaguely entertained the thought of meeting up with her as she was requesting. We spoke on and off through messenger for a couple of months, maybe 3. Apparently since high school she has been in a string of bad relationships after another (I know I know, red flag), doesn't believe in marriage and was bitter about the fact she never got child support etc etc. She told me she had just gotten out of a relationship where she was basically the stepmom to a handful of little ones but and how hard it was to have to leave them. Now she was down and out she said and had lost everything after one of her friends committed suicide, her losing her car after being in an accident, and her father passing away around the same time and unfortunately was now having to live at her mothers.
I half halfheartedly agreed to meet her. I felt pangs of guilt even though my ex wife was the initiator of divorce. Later my ex wife would say I didn't even try to reconcile, which is patently false. . In either case, we were an instant hit. I am a few cities over she had never been to and was just thrilled to "finally meet and be with me, the guy she has really loved and had a crush on all these years". I told her I wanted to take things slow however with her having no transportation she used this to her advantage, and still does.
She started staying weekends and then I got tired of driving an hour back and forth twice a weekend so she talked me into staying as she needed a job anyway within walking distance. This is where things start to fall apart. She starts drinking heavily, like a 5th of vodka a day and smoking cigarettes all the time. Here I am trying to get away from that. Arguing ensues over bullshit. She makes a mess in the kitchen, leaves her clothes on the floor, lives out of bags, refused to hang them up etc. In short, acting like a belligerent child. I kick her ass out and take her back to moms. This goes on for months, back and forth. I find she still had pics of her and her ex in phone, an ex she DIDN'T TELL ME ABOUT.
Apparently, at the time we began talking she was [having sex with] this dude that lives in her neighborhood that was also a previous ex. So, she left the other guy to go home so she could [have sex with] him, and then sought me out and was partying her ass off but just didn't have a pot to piss in . My cousins all told me she was bad news and to stay away from her, I wish I would have listened. I am just on option to her so to speak. So now , I am like what[ ] ? She gaslights me and says I told you about him, we didn't [have sex] , blah blah her story changes left and right. We start arguing when she gets belligerent and she says vile shit so I say it right back, but then she hits me with the well he has a huge dick. Just terrible verbal and emotional abuse. I kick her out 5 more times. My dumb ass keeps picking her up , she keeps deceiving me, i think love bombing me I suppose.
I catch her on her fb with a new coworker,(28M married!) says its nothing, deletes him. Very suspicious. She quits as the job was shitty. We fight argue and bicker. I take her home but not before she lands another job. The new boss drives an hour to pick her up from her moms and brings her to her house where she stays for 3 months! Gives her an extra car to use! We are on and off. Her employer (female) gives her a 5 bedroom apartment for $600 a month on no credit and no deposit and she can walk to work! What the actual fuck. Were on and off. Now she drinks daily, a bottle or less, a lot. She starts fights and argues and bickers and disappears almost every weekend but only lives a few miles away and has deactivated her fb (still suspicious) and gives me keys to apartment and phone password. Says she loves me and only me and doesn't [care] about any so called "options" she may or may not have. She is very attractive but acts like she doesn't receive or notice male attention however I think this is complete and utter bullshit and gaslights the shit out of me. Swears she is true. I find a male pube on toilet seat , which seems odd. At work the bathrooms are separate.
So now, this woman has setup her treacherous lifestyle in my face and in the face of my ex wife and children I should mention. She hangs outside her apartment afternoons smoking cigarettes with her tits popped out , but "cant stand male attention". She wants me and only me. She starts arguments every Friday via text (never plans) but then blames me for treating her poorly and disappears to apartment and gets a bottle of vodka a day until Monday comes and she shakes and pukes from withdrawal. Then she begs and pleads and says she cant live like that she needs to do better and we get back together and everything is great until the vicious cycle continues. Its been going on almost 2 years, I love her but I want to slap the piss out of her ( i wont though , cuz laws) I do not see her the majority of weekends. Usually she calls every so often wasted on Sunday for a booty call it seems.
She makes me happy when she wants to. The majority of the time I am not happy, she does not meet my needs, and is not reliable. So I already have my answer there. She gives me anxiety and somehow makes me feel bad about myself and I honestly have never experienced this before. It is soul crushing. She blames and gaslights and deflects and manipulates and deceives. This woman literally did not even know the meaning of the word empathy! She is cruel and possessive and we are still addicted to each other. I know I need to end it. I could go on but believe it or not this is the short version .
Why do I still love her and vice versa? Has she [messed] my mind up and trauma bonded me ? There is no reason to stay since she causes me more grief than happiness I understand the logic but then why does my heart still belong to her? She has outright admitted jealousy and envy of me, my ex wife, etc. Does she just want her cake and eat it too? She doesn't want to let go of me. I have the keys to her apartment and the password to her phone and she swears up and down she isn't cheating but yall know as well as I motherfuckers be slick.
Is she just keeping me as a placeholder until something better comes along ? I mean , she obviously kept me on the back burner from the jump ,talking to me the entire time she was [having sex with] her ex. Leads me to believe she was talking to him while she was playing step mom with the other dude. How is it I love this woman? She has no redeeming qualities I can think of! She is unpatriotic, and weaponizes feminism. Whatever, Ill shut up . I will say she is a master at blame and deflection and manipulation. Also, drunks lie, oh my god how they lie..I dont trust her further than I could throw her.
My question to you is WHY ? Am I just a toy to her? All she talks about is me me me, I am her screen saver on her phone. She "has given up everything for me to be here for me" (but ditches me every week!) I am so confused by this woman. I mean, I already know this shit needs to end, but HOW? And also how do I come to terms with the possibility of this woman living down the street now just getting drunk and doing whatever she does with all her male orbiters . The shit hurts and I am pissed at myself. I have definitely learned some boundaries. What sticks with me the most is, when someone tells you who they are, believe them . M gut feeling has been screaming at me as well the entire time.
Thank you for any insight and guidance, I appreciate it immensely . I have so far told her its over and blocked and deleted her its been almost a week of NC and I feel better already. She sought me out when I was at my lowest point. Karmic soul tie is all i can think.

2023.06.01 02:35 3scher Young first-time homebuyers - How are you affording to buy a home?
My wife (28f) and I (31m) are searching for our first home. We love NOVA and want to stay here, but even the basic homes (600k - 650k) in this area are ~$4,000 a month with the current interest rates. We both have decent jobs and what we thought was a great combined income, but with our budgeting we just can't justify that cost every month for the quality of homes we are seeing. We own our car outright and no other debts.
So, first-time homebuyers who bought their homes in the past year - how are you doing it?

2023.06.01 02:30 ponmbr McLaren 720S/Evo rotation issue on gamepad
I'm not sure if this is a skill issue or related to gamepad or maybe steering ratio setting in the car setup screen, but for whatever reason, I sometimes have a massive struggle to get this car around a slow corner. Corners like the final corner at Spa, the first corner at Spa, the chicane at Barcelona, and others. Sometimes it goes just fine and other times it suddenly feels like I have the turn radius of an aircraft carrier. I just did an AI race around Spa with the 720S Evo (though I have had this problem with the original 720S as well) and there was a couple of times at T1 where I literally couldn't make the corner without going off circuit and other times where I was just barely at the limit of the track before it would flag a track limits warning. The same thing happened multiple times at the final corner as well, where no matter how hard I tried I couldn't help but go off circuit on the right. I'm not exactly great at this game so I wouldn't be shocked if it's a skill issue but I don't have this trouble with any other car that I can recall. Anyone have any suggestions?
